Biden DOE rejects bids to restock oil reserve

Roughly one month ago, the White House answered one question we’ve been hammering them about for more than a year. Joe Biden drained nearly 200 million barrels of oil out of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in a failed effort to keep gas prices low ahead of the midterm elections. Was he ever planning on replacing that oil? And how much would it cost if he does? At the time, Biden was saying that he would place the first order for three million barrels of oil for the SPR in February. That doesn’t happen overnight, so they opened up the process to take bids from the oil companies. As you would expect,

The SPR are immense cavities / caverns in underground salt domes which have been created by pumping water in to dissolves the salt. Two things need to be kept in mind relative to this article: (1) every time oil is pump out of the SPR it is pushed out using water - water is pumped into the bottom of these domes acting as a piston which pushes the oil upwards as it floats on the water due to density and molecular differences - and, (2) putting oil back in means pumping the water out again from the bottom so oil can displace the water as oil once again fills the majority of these salt caverns (some fluid needs to always be in these caverns to keep them from collapsing - oil doesn't dissolve the salt but water does). Each cycle dissolves more of these massive salt caverns (shaped not unlike magma chambers under volcanoes) while leaving water in the space vacated by oil (as is happening at the moment) shortens their life spans as water continues to dissolve an ever larger portion of these domes which shortens their life spans. If these empty / fill cycles aren't executed judicially as defined by chemistry and physics (and military need) and not politics they won't be there in times of real need. Most politicians have ignored this reality (they probably wouldn't be in office when the excrement hit the radial impeller so what do they care) but Biden's draining has been on steroids compared to past political games associated with the SPR and it is possible (I don't know the particulars) that the SPR could have been compromised and therefore unfit to refill. It also may be that the cost of refilling is too expensive and wouldn't buy any votes. Either way the now mostly water filled caverns are continuing to dissolve what is left of the SPR salt domes - not a smart time to be playing the game of possible global (nuclear) war - the Strategic Petroleum Reserves were named for a reason.

CNN and other democrat media mouthpieces won’t cover this story. Although I used to question why Republicans agreed to appear on lefty network shows, I flipped. Republicans should do it. And specialize in changing the subject to slam democrat threats to national security, e.g., drain of SPR and open borders.

Tell me...truly...who believed that he planned to replace the SPR ever? Leave it empty was the plan all along. (I don't believe he actually made the decision re the petroleum because his mental capacity is so weak and degraded he can't remember to get two shoes from the same pair to wear each day.) But the Obama puppet-masters were not ever planning to replace the oil.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been focused on “LGBTQI+” inclusivity and “gender-neutral” language under President Joe Biden — even as it has struggled to manage the nation’s commercial air traffic. On Wednesday, the FAA ordered the first nationwide “ground stop” since Sep. 11, 2001, after a computer system failed overnight, grounding thousands of flights and throwing the country’s air traffic into chaos. It was the second crisis in as many months, after a winter storm snarled air travel during the holiday season. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg blamed Southwest Airlines, whose personnel management system caused company-wide cancelations that accounted for much of the nationwide disruption. But the FAA’s own systems

President Joe Biden signed a defense policy bill just before Christmas that included a provision cleared by the House and the Senate to repeal the administration’s military vaccine mandate. The National Defense Authorization Act terminated the COVID-19 vaccine for military members but did not reinstate those who were discharged or had their benefits cut for refusing the vaccine. Reinstatement has become a priority for some Republicans who said the strict mandate is among the reasons why military recruitment is at an all-time low.
