Every wonder what the most powerful blue-city ruling elites say in private about the people they virtue-signal loudest about in public?
Wonder no more: A leaked tape of a meeting of powerful Los Angeles City Council leaders, plus a top public employee union leader, lets us know.
Here's KTLA's report:
Two members of the Los Angeles City Council and a union leader released apology statements Sunday after a report published by the Los Angeles Times included transcribed leaked audio of offensive and racist remarks that were made during a private meeting. A third council member claimed to have no recollection of the conversation.

Joe Biden and all his minions have allowed gas prices to go sky high in a fanatic quest to force Americans into electric vehicles.
One problem: They tend to explode after hurricanes.
That's what Fox News found, citing warnings from local authorities about this latest health hazard from the purveyors of those who vow to make America "go green":
A top Florida state official warned Thursday that firefighters have battled a number of fires caused by electric vehicle (EV) batteries waterlogged from Hurricane Ian.

Most readers already know that Tony Bobulinski was the business partner of Hunter Biden and his uncle, Jim Biden, the president’s brother, as they attempted to put together deals with foreign actors. That partnership broke up, and Bobulinski has become a whistleblower. But his efforts to interest the FBI in multiple Biden family felonies, including against him, have come to naught.
Last night, in a second sit down interview with Tucker Carlson, Bobulinski laid out stunning details on how the FBI deep sixed any public revelations, much less indictments, based on what Bobulinski says are thousands of pages of proof, including emails, text messages, recorded phone calls, and actual business documents.

With polls tightening and the U.S. Senate race coming down the wire in Pennsylvania, Democrat John Fetterman has resorted to ad hominem attacks to distract from his sorry record -- and the stupider and pettier, the better.
He's down to calling his Republican rival, Mehmet "Dr. Oz" Oz a puppy killer, a bad doctor, a guy who looks like some character in The Simpsons, and heaven forfend, a man who drinks red wine instead of beer at tailgates: (Snip for tweet) Which didn't go over well with regular Pennsylvanians, who drink wine and beer at tailgate parties, and didn't particularly like being stereotyped rather narrowly as beer-drinking hardhats.

For Elon Musk, no good deed goes unpunished.
Get a load of the ingratitude from leaders of the nation he helped with his Starlink internet connection back when they badly needed that help: (Snip for tweet) Eeew. What kind of a reply is that?
All the Ukrainian diplomat had to do was say 'bad idea' or 'won't work,' or 'too late for that now,' or he didn't like it. He didn't have to go all foul-mouthed and ad hominem, using toilet-mouthed language, especially against someone who materially came to his nation's aid at a critical time.
But he did.

Ian wasn’t supposed to be a giant-killer.
The Gulf coast of Florida is not usually a place where notable hurricanes hit. Usually they hit on the east coast of Florida or they beeline it across the Gulf to Alabama or Louisiana, or they just peter out and skitter into the Gulf of Mexico to die.
But not this. Ian devastated parts of the Gulf coast of Florida, went inland and continued to wreak havoc there. Small Gulf cities like Englewood and Venice, Ft. Myers and others, were decimated by flooding and fallen trees.
Ian started his rampage out in the Caribbean and circuitously sneaked his way into the Gulf.

In Brazil, radical leftists thought they had a presidential victory in the bag.
They were in for a surprise.
Although their candidate, Luiz Inacio "Lula" da Silva actually got the most votes in Sunday's contest, it wasn't enough for an outright victory, so now they're headed for a runoff with incumbent conservative President Jair Bolsonaro.
The left-leaning Guardian tried to explain it out: The left-leaning Guardian tried to explain it out:
At the very least, they hoped for a commanding margin and a sense of momentum going into a runoff between the two. And progressives around the world were watching for an emphatic repudiation of Bolsonaro’s presidency

The celebrated actor John Lithgow famously said that there are distinct phases in the life of a film superstar from the perspective of movie bosses.
The first is – Who is John Lithgow?
The second is – Get me, John Lithgow, now.
The third is – Get me a John Lithgow type
The fourth is – Get me a younger John Lithgow
The final stage is – Who is John Lithgow?

While Joe Biden takes his 235th or so day of vacation to a Delaware beach as president, the stock market is tumbling, and Americans are staring in horror at their 401(k)s.
According to CNBC, the reason is here:
Falling stock markets have wiped out more than $9 trillion in wealth from U.S. households, putting more pressure on family balance sheets and spending.
Americans’ holdings of corporate equities and mutual fund shares fell to $33 trillion at the end of the second quarter, down from $42 trillion at the start of the year, according to data from the Federal Reserve. With major market indexes falling even further since early July,

If Joe Biden and his ruling Democrats had intended to discredit President Trump through their showy Mar-a-Lago raid, a new poll suggests they have failed miserably.
They've actually accomplished the the opposite of what they set out to do.
According to the highly reputable and accurate I&I/TIPP, Trump has lost not a whit of popularity with Republican voters since the FBI raid.
In fact, he's actually gained.
What do the numbers say about Trump, who, between those two polls, endured the FBI’s raid, which has no precedent in U.S. history?
In August, 53% of Republicans said they would vote for Trump. In September, that number rose to 54%, a small gain.

Just as news leaks out about Venezuela's socialist dictator emptying his prisons to fuel Biden's border surge, Joe Biden has announced that sending these particular foreign criminals back is "not rational."
According to Fox News:
President Biden said Tuesday that it is "not rational" to send migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border back to nations like Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua as concerns grow over the number of migrants arriving at the southern border.
A reporter asked Biden why the border is "more overwhelmed on your watch."
"Because there are three countries," Biden began. "There are fewer and fewer immigrants coming from Central America than from Mexico. It’s a totally different circumstance."

Illegal aliens who were deported off Martha’s Vineyard less than 48 hours after their arrival now say they would like to return to the “beautiful” elite island home of the wealthy’s summer estates.
Late last week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) sent two flights packed with 50 illegal aliens from Venezuela to Martha’s Vineyard, where former President Obama has a sprawling 29-acre summer estate.
Less than 48 hours after their arrival, officials on Martha’s Vineyard declared a “humanitarian crisis” and claimed they have a “housing crisis” that prevents them from being able to absorb border crossers and illegal aliens, even as the island could shelter six million refugees.

So. Who are the racists, again?
