Is the Deal That Schumer Promised Manchin
Already Falling Apart?

Original Article

Posted By: Imright, 8/23/2022 5:46:38 PM

Well, it was predicted that this would happen. Less than a full month after it was announced Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) came to an agreement with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in order to get the misnamed "Inflation Reduction Act" passed, that deal may already falling apart. Such a reveal comes one week after President Joe Biden signed the bill into law. The deal that took place between Manchin and Schumer, as well as Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, assured Manchin that there would be a separate method approved that would involve permits for energy infrastructure, including gas pipelines.

Schumer is a total liar, and if Manchin bought the lies, he's a sucker. More likely, this is a cover story for Manchin, "I was robbed", and he is getting a large bribe through a back channel.

Ohhhhh...... I don't think that Manchin ever believed or bought into the so called "deal". Manchin knew that it was never going to happen. Maybe with a republican Congress. Which begs the question: WHAT DID Manchin get for his vote? OR, what do the Democrats have on him?

Sure Manchin had a deal, until he didn't. Schumer agreed to what Manchin wanted. Unfortunately, the rest of the liberal Democrats were not part of the Schumer / Manchin agreement. Schumer could agree and promise all he wanted but as every person with a single living brain cell should know; once the ink was dry on the Inflation Reduction Act (or whatever they called it to deceive people) any deal would be off or suddenly unworkable. Manchin has been around long enough to know that this would occur.

Chuck The Schmuck will tell anyone any lie to get what he wants at the moment. As soon as The Schmuck gets what he wants, the other half of the deal is suddenly 'forgotten'. In dealing with The Schmuck, you have to get what YOU want FIRST, THEN give The Schmuck what The Schmuck wants. Otherwise, you wind up like Manchen (assuming that he was cheated, and was not in on it all along) or (time after time) the Pubbies, Come to think of it, all those times The Schmuck pulled a 'fast one' on The Turtle..... I wonder how many times The Turtle was 'in on the steal' all along. Hmmmmm.....

Manchin got played. I hope whatever he received for his betrayal of the American people was worth it. I don’t understand how the people in his state can continue to support him. A man willing to stand up to an out of control government is someone to admire but one who wheels and deals with the lives of his constituents is not worthy of their support or respect. The fact that politicians can make these horrific decisions and never be held accountable is appalling. It gives them undeserved power and diminishes the wants and needs of those who actually vote for him. Joe Manchin is not a man to be respected or admired. He is, like most politicians an arrogant self-serving parasite feeding off taxpayer largesse.

The expected embrace of the policy by the state’s Air Resources Board during a meeting scheduled for Thursday comes after Gov. First, for those of you who haven’t read all of the previous columns in this space, a definition. What is Weaponized Governmental Failure? Simply put, it’s the process by which urban socialist Democrats intentionally muck up the basic tasks of municipal governance and create such soul-crushing environments that middle-class taxpayers and voters decamp for the suburbs, thus leaving an electorate incapable of throwing off the political machine. My theory is that Weaponized Governmental Failure, or WGF for short, was arrived upon serendipitously. At some point in the 1990s, Democrats noticed that some of their worst mayors — like Washington, D.C.’s Marion Barry — were simply unbeatable despite dismal performances.
