A federal judge on Thursday told the Justice Department to prepare a redacted version of the affidavit that undergirded the FBI's raid on Mar-a-Lago – opening the door to more public information on the probe that preceded the move.
US Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, who signed off on search warrant for the August 8 raid, put off a final decision on whether to put out the document, which media outlets and allies of President Donald Trump were seeking following the extraordinary raid.
He told the government to come back with proposed redactions,

I can already see the redacted version, sheets of paper with virtually every word blacked out. Disgusting!

Trump can keep pounding at what is the FBI hiding because we know it will be a black page.

If the FBI needs more Sharpies to redact the affidavit, they can go to the Maricopa County elections board in Arizona, the have plenty of them!

How ridiculous. The judge should have unsealed the whole thing. Absent that, the judge should have ruled TODAY on what could be redacted.

Wow that's a surprise. I figured the judge would order them to release an unredacted copy. Of course, the judge is covering his own rear-end as well as the DOJ. A high level DOJ job awaits him.

The Judicial Fox ordered the Enforcing Fox to release an edited version of the report on the Hen House Raid, so now we will all know if the Fox's behavior was proper. Yeah, that will be useful. How long do we sit around a wait for a corrupt justice system to prosecute itself? This is absurd.

Not acceptable. Every word of Garland's crime needs to see the light of day so we the people can decide. One or two missing words can change a complete idea. Show it now!

The American People are ENTITLED to examine the unredacted documents. Any redaction must be interpreted most favorably to Donald Trump. The American People are entitled to know exactly who participated in this debacle.

We don't have all day, Judge. Get moving. Pick it up. And don't insult the public with more smudged out documents. That will shine a mirror of a worthless crook back at you.

what a joke!! there will be NO white on any of those sheets of paper, the DOJ knows that, the judge knows that and anyone with one brain cell knows that but, but, but, but (as Larry Kudlow would say) the deep state RINO's know that as long as they profess repub talking points the can skate until their next re-or election and hope this dies a very quick death so they don't have to talk about it because no repub, other than any of the MAGA repubs even mention it, ex: hong kong mitch, two-face mitt, susan shaky collins, lisa money bags murkowski and other slime establishment repubs

Thus begins the DC dance. The Feds come back with documents that could be used as blackout curtains in WWII. The judge pushes back and gives them more time to try again. Repeat, rinse, and months, if not years go by.

The fix is in. I absolutely hate that statement but it is the truth. They knew going in they would reach the point they are now and I bet they already have redacted the Affidavit to death. We must keep pushing. Never let up. Demand the release for the reason this whole debacle took place. They already look guilty. Make them prove they are not. Public opinion can do this. Call write and email your elected officials. We cannot rely on anything but ourselves.

This is pure nuts.
Allowing the FBI to redact its own documents would be like giving Boesky, Keating, or Madoff the right to choose what evidence against them could be ignored.
When the perps get to choose what to redact, the whole point of the exercise is moot.

#2 Off the subject a bit, but Zappa has a song called the "Black Page". So many notes the page appears black. Considered on the toughest and hardest songs to play.

I'm not an attorney, but doesn't Donald Trump and his attorneys have a right to see that warrant and the affidavits? This is Banana Republic stuff!

Doesn't matter folks...the video tapes from Mar A Lago will show America what the FBI took...of course the affidavit will be blacked out...WE know that...but it doesn't matter now that WE know President Trump has the video..Kimberly Gillfole said on Newsmax...she knows there are tapes of the FBI in Mar A Lago...should make for interesting viewing....

Are they really so desperate they are willing to go (as my dad used to say) 'Cruisin' for a bruisin'? Anything less than full disclosure is such a slap in this nation's face.
