It seems the DOJ has decided to leak an explanation of their decision to use a search warrant in this case. Newsweek just published an exclusive report based on anonymous DOJ sources which claims the FBI had a confidential source at Mar-a-Lago, one who informed them that Trump was hiding documents and even specified where they could be found.
The raid on Mar-a-Lago was based largely on information from an FBI confidential human source, one who was able to identify what classified documents former President Trump was still hiding and even the location of those documents, two senior government officials told Newsweek.

Don’t believe. Are they setting up Wray to be the fall guy for this cluster? Are they trying to make little Merrick look fair? Or the DOJ innocent and uninformed about this debacle? Whatever their reasons, I do not believe this.

No field agent would proceed with a raid like this without approval from the top.... he's not going to put his cushy, undeserved pension at risk. Garland knew. Biden knew. And just because they're dumb, it doesn't mean they aren't corrupt.

The mole would have been one of the Secret Service people - and the SS was in on it. Remember the picture of the rifle-armed female agent standing guard at the entrance of MAL? Read her t-shirt: it says 'Secret Service'. Either the FBI was trying to throw shade on the SS, or the SS was in on the plot. No other reason the Secret Service would be involved. There's your mole. Even the SS has been corrupted to the core. Trump better hire his own security team - he obviously can't trust the SS any more.

Sounds like a total screw-up. Heads should roll, to include Wray, the judge who signed off, Garland who lost control of his people, and the liberal liar who claimed to know all, but knew nothing. Enough is enough!

“Newsweek says…”
That statement invalidates everything that comes after those words. The story is a plant.

Number 1 you are correct. They plan to sink Wray with this and he was ordered by the DOJ which was ordered by the executive branch specifically the State Department. The FBI never found the notes they were after!

Garland, Wray, and Biden did approve it, or knew of it ahead of time. Don't feed us nonsense. Trump was set up by the DOJ and FBI by leaving documents at his residence, so they could use it for a search warrant, anytime they wanted to come and search the whole premises for anything. How do I know? Easy, that is what they did.

So no one is in charge in the Lame Duck Joe administration. I believe that. Agencies under the LDJ Executive Branch can go Cowboy anytime they want. Appears so. Wray is being tossed under the bus. The real culprit is Lame Duck Joe, the buck stops at his desk. But LDJ is a an empty vessel, so that leaves the puppet master, BHO.

Sure, right, it was some rogue agent. Who in their right mind would believe that? This came from the top and we all know it. The individual who was the focus of this raid would prohibit any sane person from even suggesting it. Now, they want us to believe that Biden, Wray or Garland were caught flat footed? Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Garland sure did approve it. Along with the Whitehouse and the Jan 6 committee. Something like this does not happen from a field office. That is crazy! The entire Administration along with the Jan 6 clown court and don't forget Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, Obama, Rice, Jill, etc were in on it. Yes, it backfired badly.
If I was an agent from that office that raided Trumps home, I would have called in sick that day, said I had COVID and be absent during this clown show.

You are all missing this key fact: in bureaucratese "approve" means to officially say "go do this". So, while Merrick Garland knew about the raid before it happened, and could have told them to NOT do it, he did not actually tell them to do it. So, he did not technically "approve" the raid.

There is no way in hell that this raid was not approved at the highest levels. Think about it…250 years and no former President has ever had this happen. So some yahoo in the FBI decides to ransack the home of a former President? I don’t buy it.

Rather drastic way to change the focus of the news cycle, isn't it? Sacrifice a few senior DOJ folks and a Judge is a small cost to shift the focus from a disastrous economy, energy crisis, the resurgence of polio, and any number of other things the whole Prog/Lib/BLM movement has brought us.
My suggestion for President Trump is to mention this, but then shift right back to the issues.

1. Where was the Grand Jury seated? D.C. or Florida?
2. If the answer was D.C., why did the FBI seek a search warrant approval rom a Florida magistrate?
3. Why was a Grand Jury seated in the first place? Because there was a disagreement betweenDJT's archivists and the National Archives about classification of presidential records?

Lies. Garland is discovering that he screwed the pooch on this overreach and is now desperate to get clear of the coming blownback.
"Yes, do it, but I'll deny it if this goes sideways"......THAT'S almost certainly how this denial started out.
This is beyond "sideways" to upside down.
