Brooklyn Public Library Advertises Pornographic
Books to Teens

Original Article

The Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) is holding a campaign that seeks to share controversial, sexually explicit books with teens. The library’s campaign, called “Books Unbanned,” specifically seeks to give teens access to books that showcase pornographic material. On the Books Unbanned page, the Brooklyn Public Library points out that “Most targeted books were for a teen audience and were by or about Black or LGBTQIA+ persons” but does not reference the sexually explicit and often graphic nature of many of the titles.(Snip)Even more jarring, Jonathan Evison’s Lawn Boy is not only sexually explicit, but features a sexual encounter between fourth graders. Other books on the list discuss masturbation.

Comments:

Setting aside that the Brooklyn library is run by Marxists, there's almost no way that this (plus the drag queen business, plus homosexual books for preschoolers in every library across the land) is not being pushed through using "federal funding," or the threat of withholding same. God willing, on the horizon is a series of mostly peaceful vigorous book burning demonstrations as the nation rejects filth and sexualization of children.

I don't know anything about the content of the books. They are represented as pornographic, and perhaps they are. The point is this: The public library is responsible to someone in elected government. Locally, it is possible to "primary" and even run for office with a few bucks and smart campaigning. I look forward to a good citizen running for such office in the near future.

Exposing minors to sexually explicit material used to be recognized as a crime. The promulgators of today's sexual revolution consider it to be GOOD, not criminal. Next increment for their progressive assault: Normalizing pedophilia.

the kids are already seeing all the pornography they want on line so why does anyone think they're going to go to a library to read pornography?

Libraries have always been lefties to the bone. Now they want to start perverting children earlier than usual. No more donations to libraries or books. I don't care if they have to close.

I work in a small town library. In a conservative community. But this pornography literature is being promoted by our government. So much for guardrails and policing in the community. We stand strong, but some communities capitulate because they think it’s currently wise. No. Don’t give in. You’d be surprised to know your community leaders prob don’t like this garbage either.
