Rhode Island may be the smallest of the fifty states, but apparently, it has plenty of room for race-baiting, attention-seeking, hedonistic morons like our knucklehead of the week. In the Ocean State’s legislature, a first-term senator named Tiara Mack managed to summarize much of what plagues America and our culture with one ill-advised social media posting and her subsequent counterattack against outraged critics. If someone unfamiliar with the continuing decay of our society were to ask us to provide one example of what ails us, the behavior of this week’s top knucklehead would be an ideal choice. Consistent with their mindset of “America Last,” our friends on the left would have us follow the lead of other countries on virtually every issue. Our elections? Do away with the Electoral College and implement the popular vote like they do in Mexico and Brazil. Health care? Let’s be like the Scandinavians and switch to socialized medicine. Gun control? Let’s take away everyone’s guns as they did in New Zealand.

For those of you who care, and we know very few of you do, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (aka Schmucky Chucky) from New York is indeed related to the irritating activist/actress Amy Schumer. Considering the high-profile status that Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has achieved, it’s easy to forget that he almost lost his state’s gubernatorial election four years ago. He may be the front runner to succeed Donald Trump as the GOP’s presidential nominee during the next election cycle should Trump decide to sit it out, but in 2018 Governor DeSantis barely squeaked by the Democrats’ candidate, former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum.

A survey discovered that charging logistics is the primary reason why Americans aren’t buying electric vehicles.
Consumer Reports, which said it surveyed around 8,000 Americans, found that 61 percent said they wouldn’t seek to own an electric vehicle because of charging logistics while 55 percent cited the number of miles a vehicle can go per charge. A majority of Democrat voters say the Supreme Court should be abolished for its racist and misogynistic practices, according to a recent poll commissioned by the Heartland Institute.
In addition, 54 percent of young people aged 19 to 39 concur, regardless of their political association.
The survey of 1,025 U.S. voters was divided among party lines, with 53 percent of Democrats in favor of abolishing the current Supreme Court and replacing it with a “new, democratically elected . . . court with justices chosen by the American people directly,” and 33 percent “strongly” in favor. Only 21 percent of Republicans and 38 percent of independents favored the ill-advised proposition.
Democrats are facing their worst political environment in over a decade heading into November’s mid-term elections. Republicans lead the generic ballot and hold a solid structural advantage in competing for the House of Representatives. And despite concerns about candidate quality, the GOP is also favored to take control of the Senate.
The correlation between presidential approval and their party’s mid-term prospects also can’t be ignored. Joe Biden has hit the lowest poll numbers of his term, with a recent Times/Siena poll showing him at just 33 percent approval with only 13 percent believing the country is on the right track.

A California bill signed into law Tuesday will allow residents to sue the manufacturers of guns that are used in crimes. A 2005 federal law prevents gun manufacturers from civil litigation when their products are used in crimes. The office of Gov. Gavin Newsom said the new state law uses an exemption to the federal law that allows firearms makers or sellers to be sued for violating state laws on the sale or marketing of guns. “To the victims of gun violence and their families: California stands with you. The gun industry can no longer hide from the devastating harm their products cause,” Mr. Newsom said in a news release.
