Jeffrey Toobin argues, 'There's a lot
of right-wing terrorism in this country,’

CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin ignored recent examples of progressive violence when he went on "At This Hour With Kate Bolduan" on Wednesday to condemn "the pervasiveness of right-wing violence." Toobin appeared on a panel discussing the ongoing Jan. 6 hearings and potential connections to former President Donald Trump. In the latest hearing by the Jan. 6 Committee on Tuesday, state officials testified that they received several threats and attacks from people after refusing to overturn the 2020 election results. Toobin argued those threats were further proof that "right-wing violence" is now pervasive throughout the country.

No weapons on January 6th. No buildings burned or even ransacked, a few stupid pranks, nobody killed except Ashley Babbitt. Did you notice how the people in Statuary Hall walked within the roped areas? Not a statue or painting or mural was damaged. Then we didn't hear about the hundred thousand or more who attended the Rally, rampaging, looting, robbing, assaulting and killing on their way back to hotel rooms. Did you? Wracked my brain to see if I could remember abortion clinics being firebombed, the baby-killers threatened, beaten, abused? There was a time of unrest, but the Feds stomped down on that. Protesters can't even get near them as they carry their signs pleading for mothers to choose life. Tens of thousands come to DC to pray for the end of Roe. Any violence from their side? Just never hear ugliness from them. Hmmm can't remember lefty Supremes being threatened when decisions have been harmful to our Liberty, didn't go the way we wanted. In actual fact, there hasn't been a whole heck of a lot of violence coming from the "right". Anyway, it's pointless to try to reason with Two-bits and his ilk. Their minds are cemented and super-glued shut.

Drag Queens and the Incoherence of Moral Relativism 4 replies

It is a sign of our times that movements have emerged to teach pedophilia in schools and to subject children to drag queen performances. Perversions like this are borne of an insidious attitude known as moral relativism. As the term suggests, moral relativism is the belief that morality is subjective rather than objective. That is, what is right and wrong varies from person to person instead of emerging from a fixed universal standard, meaning that there are no ultimate moral truths. Before examining why such a view is incoherent, it is worth considering why ordinary people have been seduced into believing it.

The couple purchased the property with six-bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms in the private and guarded Billionaire Bunker in April 2021. Construction has been underway since at least February and has made major progress. The two structures that sit parallel to each other are separated by an empty pool in the backyard that is waiting to be finished.

The Senate on Thursday night passed gun control legislation, clearing the way for final congressional approval of what will be the most significant firearms legislation in decades. The 65-33 vote came after a month of negotiations that eventually found a compromise on one of the country's most contentious political issues. Yet the nation's divisions were on clear display on a day when the Supreme Court expanded gun rights by ruling Americans have a constitutional right to carry handguns in public for self-defense. The legislation provides about $15 billion in funding to help states implement red-flag laws to keep guns from high-risk owners and expand background checks.

With the Biden administration we are truly in a wilderness of curved mirrors, where people don’t trust what they see and what government says. The people behind Joe Biden don’t even try to hide the fact that their agenda constitutes what many feel is nothing short of betrayal -- a government against the people. We are passing through a time when the elite of our society call right, wrong and wrong, right, and when evil is called good and good is called evil. Before we consider what can be done, let’s take a walk through the current upside-down priorities of the various agencies of our government:

Tuesday’s Supreme Court decision in Carson v. Makin highlights America’s complicated religious history. The nation’s highest court correctly held that Maine violated the US Constitution’s First Amendment by excluding religious schools from a tuition assistance program that allows parents to use vouchers to send their children to public or private schools — though three justices disagreed because they misread that history. Chief Justice John Roberts’ opinion — joined by the five other conservative justices — emphasized the free-exercise clause, which “Maine’s ‘nonsectarian’ requirement for its otherwise generally available tuition assistance payments violates,” he wrote.
