The Long Island library that decided to tear down Pride displays and remove books from children’s sections reversed its decision at an emergency meeting Thursday night. The Smithtown Library board of trustees voted 4-2 to rescind its controversial Tuesday night decision. One of the seven trustees abstained. The initial decision prompted a massive response from advocates and a strong statement from the governor, leading to the emergency meeting. On Tuesday, the board voted 4-2 in favor of a “motion to remove all Pride Displays, in addition to removing all books of the same subject on display, from all Children’s sections in all Smithtown Library buildings.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is investigating one of the worst meningococcal outbreaks among gay and bisexual men in U.S. history, according to a recent press release.
"Getting vaccinated against meningococcal disease is the best way to prevent this serious illness, which can quickly become deadly," said Dr. José R. Romero, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. "Because of the outbreak in Florida, and the number of Pride events being held across the state in coming weeks, it’s important that gay and bisexual men who live in Florida get vaccinated, and those traveling to Florida talk to their healthcare provider about getting a MenACWY

President Biden on Thursday inadvertently held up a comically detailed cheat sheet prepared by his staff instructing the gaffe-prone leader of the free world to “take YOUR seat” and to limit his remarks to “2 minutes.” A photographer snapped an image of the document when Biden held it up backward at a meeting with wind-industry executives, which he attended after skipping his administration’s morning meeting with oil companies about combatting record gas prices.(Snip) The typed-up note says that after reporters arrive, “YOU give brief comments (2 minutes).” When reporters depart, “YOU ask Liz Shuler, President, AFL-CIO, a question” and then “YOU thank participants” and “YOU depart.”

The office of the Attorney General of North Dakota sent a letter Tuesday asking Red River Trust, a group with ties to billionaire Bill Gates, to prove the company’s use of the land does not violate the state’s Corporate Farming Laws. The trust had acquired six parcels of land in Pembina County. “I’ve gotten a big earful on this from clear across the state, it’s not even from that neighborhood,” Agricultural Commissioner Doug Goehring, according to Valley News Live. “Those people are upset, but there are others that are just livid about this.” The letter stipulated that under North Dakota law, there are “certain limitations on the ability of trusts

Uvalde, Texas—Uvalde residents and elected officials are pushing to raze Robb Elementary, where a gunman killed 19 children and two teachers Tuesday. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) spent $4.3 million in funds from President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package on environmental justice and climate change programs promoting activities like tree planting, "pruning workshops," and achieving "greater acceptance of trees" in cities. Last April, the EPA announced it was awarding $200,000 each to dozens of projects "focusing on COVID-19 impacts, as well as climate and disaster resiliency" in "underserved communities" through its Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving (EJCPS) Cooperative Agreement Program. The program awarded a total of 34 organizations using $4.3 million in funds from Biden’s American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act, as well as $2.5 million from the EPA’s annual

The Biden administration released ads Thursday promoting COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 6 months and up as it tries to convince parents that all ages need protection against the coronavirus.
The new ad features parents walking with their young children, playing and snuggling. “You look at them and think, ‘I’ll always keep you safe,’” one 30-second ad says. “And now all kids 6 months and older can get a COVID vaccine. So moms and dads everywhere have one more way to keep that promise.” The Department of Health and Human Services launched the ad campaign five days after federal agencies signed off on shots from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna

The Navy veteran who plowed his car through a pedestrian-packed, midday Times Square in 2017—telling a traffic cop afterwards, “I wanted to kill them”—will avoid jail time despite taking the life of an 18-year-old tourist in the rampage that also left 22 others injured. That was the decision of a Manhattan jury Wednesday that deliberated just six hours before buying the insanity defense of Richard Rojas, 31, finding him “not responsible” due to mental illness. Defense lawyers had maintained Rojas wasn’t in control of his actions when he unleashed the May 18, 2017 carnage that took the life of young Alyssa Elsman.

One year ago, a share of Walt Disney Co. stock was worth nearly $180.00. Today, it’s worth—laughably—just $93. As Red State, who first reported on this, points out: “Disney stock has plummeted nearly 50 percent as their political-infused productions continue to turn away audiences and garner angry fan reactions.” I’ll get to that in a moment, but let’s not forget Disney’s decision to come out in favor of grooming prepubescent children grooming with gay porn in schools.(Snip)Disney has broken the three legs of its stool: Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. What once was entertaining is now two things people hate about movies: 1) woke lectures
