Extreme heat early in the summer season is calling into question the strength of electricity and power grids across the country, as warnings about brownouts and requests to conserve power continue to rise. As temperatures increase, the risk of power outages grows along with them. Warmer weather means higher power usage as people turn to devices like air-conditioning units and fans to try to cool their homes and offices. A May report from the non-profit North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) predicted a "high risk of energy emergencies during peak summer conditions" in the Upper Midwest. Just wait until people start sweltering in the heat, living under candlelight and not being able to glue their eyes to all of their devices. Joe will be a pariah and there will be plenty of free time to march on Washington. It's only June. FJB

Yet the liberals want use to buy more electric cars and plug in on an already over worked, over loaded fossil fuel burning electric grid. I am trying to figure out how and why this country is producing so many common senseless stupid people?

Something tells me that the "smart meters" pushed on consumers, will play a role in this plan to turn up the misery level on Americans.

Oh my gosh...we've never had such HOT weather in June!! Record breaking! What record did we break? One set 103 years ago.
We have heat waves and cold spells since time began. This hype is designed to make us all clamor for our New Green Deal saviors to save us all. And they couldn't be happier.
Here in northern Illinois we are powered by nuclear plants. Outside of downed power lines after a storm, we never lose power ever. Never had a rolling blackout. If we start to have them this summer it will be proof of heavy duty manipulation. Power outages more than just an inconvenience. There are people who are dependent on medical equipment to survive. Battery back-ups don't last forever and many don't have access to generators.
People may die, but the Democrats have established themselves as the pro-death party from the unborn straight through the nursing home population. It's the price we must pay to "fundamentally transform" the United States.

How many new electric plants are in the pipeline?
Or are they mired in miles and miles of EPA red tape?

Where I live it's hot, really really hot 95+ hot. And it's not all that unusual. I have my AC set on 78 and it's fine for my small house. I get the feeling that if some of the politicians like Pelosi and Schumer had to live in my house, drive my car and live on my budget they'd freak.

People and the media act as of heat in June is unusual. I'm old enough to remember summer 1966 (just out of high school). Temps in NY over 100 for several days in a row. Asphalt roads buckled and bridges jammed due to steel expansion. It will always be hot, but the greens use it to blame Americans.

And yet these stupid liberals are trying to force everyone to electric cars. No electricity for your car or your house. These people are fools.

Let us not forget the increasing energy needs caused by unfettered mass illegal immigration. Distributing illegals around the country will mean we’ll all share the misery that federal and state politicians have caused.

Here in the az desert our 3rd world power system aka APS lets the county hand out building permits to the invaders from out west like candy on halloween. I expect the local wells will be running dry soon. Going to be a long hot summer.

So many big and small businesses moving to Texas and Florida, for example, with their thousands of new families require real attention to providing and/or upgrading the existing power structure. I know watching so many suburban areas in W Texas grow and grow, one cannot help but be concerned about our power needs.

When the brownouts begin, the dems will scream we need more green energy, the very cause of the brownouts. France gets 75% of their power from nukes, with no pollution. You would think we would smarten up and follow their example. Nuclear energy cost about half of so called green energy. Green energy cannot succeed on its own without Gov subsidies.

It's not just A/C usage. Liberals want everyone on the grid so they can flip the swtich OFF when so desired. By the end of Biden's term we'll be seeing ice delivery trucks and horse-drawn wagons in our streets.
