WASHINGTON — Citing growing worries about high gasoline prices, Democratic leaders announced an effort Thursday to give the Federal Trade Commission increased authority to crack down on companies that engage in price gouging. In doing so, they downplayed the possibility of other options such as a federal gas tax holiday or offering oil companies more government incentives to increase production. Instead, they said the FTC needs more tools, including stiffer fines and penalties and a team of dedicated experts to monitor markets and go after price gouging. With voters concerned about the growing toll of inflation, Democrats again signaled their intention

Blame everyone but those responsible. And the mainstream media and democrats will all join in chorus to blame Trump, Republicans, and greedy oil barons. And there are enough idiots out there that will buy the lie without using any of their brains.
How can you tell a Democrat is lying?
They never tell the truth.

Price controls, when was the last time that worked? Next, outlaw hurricanes and then they won't have to fund FEMA. Stupidity is painful to watch.

FJB raised the gas prices on Day One. Obama told him to. No need to ask which came first the pipeline chicken or the price raising egg.

Calling for a Dermatologist when a Heart Surgeon is required. America was energy sufficient with low gas prices when these morons took over. Just undo whatever you did in the last fifteen months. It will cure a lot of ills.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get much worse, Dems want to reintroduce long gas lines and odd and even days to obtain rationed gasoline and diesel fuels. How else can they disguise Biden’s cruel, inflation producing war on US produced fossil fuels? Blaming Putin hasn’t worked.
Perhaps Schumer and his ilk could ask Biden to fulfill his 2019 campaign promise to imprison oil industry executives for the crime of providing Americans with essential energy. If AG Garland can threaten to send the FBI after dissenting parents at school board meetings, think how FBI SWAT teams could drag oil company executives out of their homes at 6:00 am.

Let me see if I got this: Top Democrat con artists to waste millions of tax payer dollars in a fake federal crack down to deflect blame of their failed energy policies on to an imaginary enemy and make it look like they are the hero's.
Sound about right?

Now, after the government does everything in it's power to increase the cost of gasoline.....have the government beat up on the oil companies for increasing the cost of gasoline.
THAT is pure evil. But, of course, the Dems are pure evil. Desperate to try to deflect the blame for their POLICIES onto anyone else.

I have to go a bit 'contrary' here.
This problem - gasoline prices and energy in general - is not the product of
incompetence, stupidity or ignorance.
While I agree that the 'powers that be' now in office and their staffs, advisors and
hangers-on couldn't run a lemonade stand, even run it poorly ! *
What you are seeing happening to our country is completely, top to bottom and
stem to stern INTENTIONAL.
NONE of this is 'accidental' or 'by mistake.
I don't know names or numbers but I DO KNOW that anyone or any small group of 'people'
stupid enough to institute the disasters we have seen since 1/20/2021 would have been
have been locked up for their own safety LONG before they got to any position of power.
Anybody here still think Joltin' Joe is running this catastrophe ??
* ( there's a great story about
some government dept of something or other, for legal reasons, taking over and trying to run
a bordello and FAILING - you have to be some kind of stupid to fail at THAT ! )

Barking up the wrong tree. Democrats are worried about their shrinking election chances, not high gas prices. High gas prices were prompted by shutting down Keystone and existing production lines. What do you expect from the AssPress, another tentacle of the government octopus.
