President Joe Biden rightly announced a ban on Russian energy imports Tuesday — though only after a bipartisan group in Congress twisted his arm. Biden had resisted the move, despite the purchases funding Vladimir Putin’s deadly Ukraine invasion, worried it would further boost gas prices (and further tank his polling).
But he’s doing plenty to jack up prices through his policies here at home. On Monday, his own Environmental Protection Agency announced it wants to slap new rules on tractor-trailers, buses, delivery vans and moving trucks. The regs, aimed at cutting nitrogen oxide and carbon pollution, will make life harder not only for working-class truck and bus drivers,

The truckers will park their trucks. Then let's see how FJB's supply chain works. FJB is fubaring everything he can get his hands on.

Truckers met with members of Congress a couple days ago. They said when diesel fuel hits $6-7 a gallon the independent drivers will park their rigs. Can’t make a living at that price. Basically a nationwide truck shutdown. The company drivers will still be driving, but the price of deliveries will skyrocket and drive up food clothing prices even higher. Thanks FJB you SOB!

Been in Spain the past couple of months and have been absolutely gobsmacked by the stunning ineptitude of FJB. Why do I feel like I’m in a sinister episode of the Twilight zone??

So, how they coming on a battery powered truck capable of pulling a 70,000 pound load of freight? We will be back hauling stuff point to point with 20 mule trains before this band of retarded imbeciles is done with us.

These news sources make the mistake of speaking of Biden as a functioning human being. He is too far gone to connect the dots. He thinks of himself as a big hero for imposing all of the Climate Change idiocy and blaming others for problems he caused himself is a democrat trait. He does not understand why people don't love him and that makes him angry - much like the little child he is in his head.

If only we could put a parachute on Joe and drop him into Russia. Doesn't that thought put a smile on your face?

Biden and his handlers do not seem to think or do not care that putting more oppressive regulations, higher taxes and restrictions on trucks will put many out of business, make the cost to the companies that remain higher driving the price of all goods higher for the consumer. The price of food and goods is already high, and they get higher every day.

The many pronged attack on the American middle class continues apace.
WEF has decreed that Americans are "too well off" compared to the third world, so they will "equalize that disparity"......not by helping the third world, but by making us have the same lifestyle as, say Bangladesh, or Zimbabwe.

Suppliers of goods don't pay for the gasoline trucking companies charge to ship them. When it increases, they increase the price of their goods and pass them on to the consumer. See how that works?

Re #6, no problem with an electric pulling 70,000 lbs.....for about 5-10 miles. The three critical technical issues are:
1) energy density
2) energy "refueling" times
3) cost and durability factors
For diesel, the typical semi tractor has a pair of saddle tanks with 100 to 150 gallons of diesel fuel per side.
This contains a bit over 40 million BTUs of energy, in three hundred gallons of diesel fuel.
These tanks can be refueled in perhaps 15-20 minutes, less if you were in a rush.
Tanks cost from $800 to $1,000 per side, new......but can be refilled 10,000 times or much more more, essentially lasting forever until physically damaged.
Batteries....40 million BTUs is about 12,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity. A Tesla battery can store "up to 85 kwh of electricity", according to an online source. So, a typical semi-truck's fuel load is equal to the energy in 142 Tesla batteries. A Tesla battery costs about $15,000. 142 of them would cost $2,130,000. And the electrical substation with literally giant transformers and huge mains power lines feeding it for a truck stop would cost a lot, too. And recharge time? Well, a Tesla takes many hours to fully charge. Faster charging shortens battery life, too.
And these very, very expensive batteries can be recharged about 1,000 times, perhaps as many as 1,500 or maybe even 2,000 if you are very kind to them.....and never charge them in a hurry, only charge them slowly, which makes the "refueling time" even worse.
So, you pay $2 million for the battery pack, which takes up 1/4 to 1/3 of your truck weight and volume, and then you get maybe 1,500 charges out of it. If you drive nearly continuously, like most truckers do, that may last 2 to 4 years, assuming 1 to 2 charges a day....which may be impossible due to charging time.
So, battery costs are around a half a million to a million a year.....IF ELECTRICITY WAS FREE. At 12 cents a kwh, a 12,000 kwh recharge should cost $1,440 for the electricity, assuming 100% efficiency. At realistic 70% efficiency, more like $2,000 per charge. 1,500 charges = $3,000,000 for the electricity. So a couple of years of batteries plus the electricity to recharge....about $5,000,000 for one semi truck.
This does NOT work economically. Not even close.
And where does all this electricity magically appear from? Trucks can't recharge at night or if the wind doesn't blow in the magic unicorn world of the electric semis.

Numbers and stats about the BTU's and energy density, power generation, etc have NOTHING to do with the argument.
Climate change is part of the pie, a large part, to end the US as we've lived it. Covid was too - we needed a Boogey man so people would obey. Limit travel, and keep people in the cities so they can be controlled efficiently Think of the housing blocks in the Soviet Union (soon to return) with 40 watt bulbs in the elevators.
The One-Worlders, the UN and powerful men we don't even know, want to run the world their way or no way. Biden is just the tool they installed to help it happen.

FTA: 'The EPA move toward “zero-emission vehicles in the heavy-duty fleet” over tractor trailers and other high-emission vehicles.' When these eco-tyrants state that lie 'zero-emission' they MUST be required to include the pro-rated, per-vehicle emissions of the generating source of the electricity the vehicle must use. They will never tell that truth...because then they would have to 'fold the con'.

So, Putin is killing Ukrainians with bombs, cutting off food, heat and food supplies.
Our "unifier" president is doing the same to us, sans the bombs.
He says there's nothing he can do about lowering the high gas prices . . . but he sure knows how to get them higher!
I've said it before and I'll say it again:
Shameful and horrifying at the same time.
