Like many, I have spent the last couple of weeks a bit entranced by the trucker protests happening in Canada. (Snip)
To simplify, let’s first identify and categorize two classes of people in society, who we could say tend to navigate and interact with the world in fundamentally different ways.
The first is a class that has been a part of human civilization for a really long time. These are the people who work primarily in the real, physical world.
The second class is different. It is, relatively speaking, a new civilizational innovation. They don’t interact much with the physical world directly; they are handlers of knowledge.

The black clad army of mercenaries and police brutalizing a peaceful protest in Ottawa this weekend has been planned for years. It is overkill for a reason. It is theatre. It is an othering, a willful flagrant statement on the future of the working class everywhere. It instructs them: you will die. If not now, then sometime in the next ten years. Your towns will be gutted, your jobs will evaporate,

OTTAWA – Seven Canadian provinces now oppose an Emergencies Act declaration made Monday by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who claims it is needed to stop the peaceful Freedom Convoy protesters in Ottawa. (Snip)
No less than six provinces, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Newfoundland and Labrador have already or will be soon dropping most COVID rules, with more saying they will do so as well.
Two Canadian premiers and 16 U.S. state governors in a letter recently demanded that Trudeau and U.S. President Joe Biden allow un-jabbed truckers to cross the border.
Despite the new threats from Trudeau, organizers for the Freedom Convoy said Tuesday that they would “hold the line.”

Nate Hochman is on the ground in Canada reporting on the unfolding situation with the “Freedom Convoy” protests. (Snip) And it’s amazing, these people are, I think, patriots in the most authentic sense of the term. They’re weathering not just insane cold temperatures and sleeping in their trucks to fight for their freedoms, but also now a full-on frontal assault from their federal and provincial governments.
So I have nothing but respect for these guys. They’re some of the kindest people that I’ve ever met. And I don’t say that just because of my ideological priors. I went into this supporting the cause, but thinking that maybe

Multiple events hosted by conservative groups have been flooded with fake registrations across the country, including one at an Ivy League school hosted by a prominent student organization that engages in activism for conservative causes. (Snip)
However, for some conservative groups, a tsunami of spam registrations made accomplishing that difficult, and the difficulty was compounded by slow or non-existent responses from the company. In addition, the Daily Caller News Foundation found that it was easy to make a fake registration for events on Eventbrite, even if the email address was already linked to an Eventbrite account.
The targeted events included a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event in New Hampshire

If we have learned anything about left-wing cultural revolutionaries over the past few years and decades, it’s that they insist that all conform to their view of “diversity.”
(Snip) That’s why it’s so troubling to see government authorities rope in, and attempt to control, people attempting to maintain their independence.
Maryland Delegate Sheila Ruth, a Baltimore County Democrat, recently proposed legislation in the Maryland House of Delegates that would create a deeply worrisome “advisory council” to watch over and gather data on homeschool families.
The 16-seat council would be staffed by four political appointees, four government officials, and eight members of the homeschool community. It would “gather information

What got us here, to this sad and sorry state, is that we were polite for too long. In a misguided sense of misplaced kindness we failed to call it as we saw it. Stupid people, deluded people, and/or malicious people all confronted us with their stupid, deluded and/or malicious nonsense, and instead of telling them to cut the Schiff, we smiled and tolerated it. Now we got dudes setting records in women’s sports, roving bands of mouth thong vigilantes pestering those of us who exercise facial freedom, and communists who have decided that racism is cool as long as it’s useful to their agenda.

If you want to feed on fake news, be bombarded by endless praise-filled coverage of scoundrels whose fame is undeserved, and listen to just plain idiocy, keep watching television news. With the latest conviction of former media star Michael Avenatti, I’ve made my case. Not only does the story of his rise and fall illustrate my point, but the failure of the media that gave him so much praise and coverage is not the end of it. Their lack of curiosity about his funding, even to this day, further condemns them as mere propagandists for the Left.
At present he’s facing a number of charges for extortion and fraud.

Conservatives took critics to heart when they said, "build your own platforms," in the wake of digital censorship claims.
Twitter competitors like Gab, Parler and now GETTR offer a "safe space" for those frustrated by the former's inconsistent rules. The video platform Rumble, active since 2013 but experiencing a massive boost over the past year, is a haven for voices like conservative talker Dan Bongino recently silenced by Google-owned YouTube. And GiveSendGo.com lets clients denied access to GoFundMe crowdfund without compromising their values.
The wave of alternate platforms, part of an emerging parallel economy, may receive its biggest boost yet with the advent of former President Donald Trump's Truth Social,

So we’re finally seeing a genuine, bottom-up, working-class revolution. In Canada, and increasingly in the United States, truckers and others are refusing to follow government orders, telling the powerful that, in a popular lefty formulation, if there’s no justice, there’s no peace.
Naturally, the left hates it.
For more than a century, lefties have talked about such a revolt. But if you really paid attention, the actual role of the working class in their working-class revolution was not to call the shots — it was to do what it was told by the “intellectual vanguard” of the left.

Mexican cartels are making billions of dollars from drug trafficking, human smuggling, and exploiting the U.S. border, said Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas).
Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 1.3 million illegal immigrants crossing into Texas from Mexico in 2021. Hundreds of thousands more weren’t captured. Seizures of the deadly synthetic opioid, fentanyl, have sharply increased, as have overdose deaths in the United States.
“We have 100,000 Americans die from opioid poisonings. They’re not really overdoses—they’re poisonings,” Roy told NTD’s Capitol Report on Jan. 28.

On Friday, Joe Biden started yelling in anger during a speech in Pennsylvania while talking about the high price of insulin.
“Imagine being the parent making the minimum wage or twice the minimum wage and having a child with type one diabetes, knowing that if you can’t and have no insurance, knowing if you cannot get that money for the insulin, the child may die,” Biden said. (Snip)
Make no mistake about it: Joe Biden isn’t angry about the high cost of insulin. Why not? Because he is responsible for it.
On his first day in office, Biden froze a Trump drug policy that had been finalized in December 2020,

There might be some heavy lifting reading this for some, but it's well worth it. I think it's the best, most explanatory thing I've read describing the sides in the war we are now in. It's people who deal with the physical world (not necessarily blue-collar as it includes farmers and many small business owners) versus those who have no contact with the physical world, only with ideas and knowledge. The knowledge people think they can run the world, but they now have to acknowledge there is a physical world and they don't have the least idea about how it works.
