The National Archives confirmed on Friday that Donald Trump took classified documents from the White House to Mar-a-Lago when he left office. The agency has informed Congress and is now in talks with the Justice Department about an investigation after the sensitive material was found in 15 boxes seized from his Florida home.'Because NARA identified classified information in the boxes, NARA staff has been in communication with the Department of Justice,' said the letter, written by David S. Ferriero, the national archivist, to Democratic Rep. Carolyn Maloney.

Most Presidents probably took home boxes of papers and later placed them in their libraries. Trump doesn't have a library yet so he is keeping his at home.

So Sandy Berger can carry documents out in his pants and Hillary gets to wipe her hard drives, but guess who these media whores shout with capital letters about.

The papers were probably PLANTED there so they knew right where to look to "find" them.

Who knows what if any of this is true. Does it matter? Hasn't precedent already been established that you can put classified documents on your own bathroom server, send them back and forth using the computer of a registered sex offender, delete them post supeona and have an employee/fixer stuff them down his pants and remove them from the national archives with impunity?

Bill Clinton took everything with him, including the silverware. So did Obama. Hillary did not have to take anything, as she goes on a steal as you go approach.

This British rag has a government full of corruption, moral decay and lawlessness. I am beyond tired of their poisonous diatribes making President Trump look the opposite of what he is!

FTA:
said the letter, written by David S. Ferriero, the national archivist, to Democratic Rep. Carolyn Maloney.
Nope, not partisan at all, just someone working for a highly partisan democrat, which means the left will believe him and his claims.
It's really all an attempt to find anything they can to make sure he is not allowed to run for POTUS ever again, and especially in 2024.
Think about it, they had full access to the Executive office of the President searches, his Trump Tower, and other places, and they still didn't come up with anything solid.
They had to actually manufacture things.

If there's anything suspicious about this article, it's neither in the headline nor the lede. Both of those seem intentionally vague, to make the report sound ominous, when it's entirely possible for this to be just empty innuendo.

This is laughable. Remember all of the hair splitting over whether portions of documents Hillary attempted to destroy but which were subsequently retrieved were "classified?" The headline is also typical Daily Mail garbage. How about the "National Archives claim" or "alleges?"

"There are laws governing the removal of classified material – however the president also has unilateral authority to declassify information, leading to a potentially murky area."
These were not "Seized"... Trumps people had been in continuous conversations with NARA and "Informed them" that they had identified 15 boxes that "Might" fall under the act...had them come and get them.
This story and many others are written as If Trump had "Stolen" something and Federal Officers with warrants "Raided" his home, searched and "Found" them.
