Initial moves to try and flush out several hundred protesters who have been camped on Parliament's grassy grounds since Tuesday had little effect.The protesters, who have been voicing their opposition to coronavirus vaccine mandates, responded to the soaking from the sprinklers by digging trenches and installing makeshift drainpipes to divert the water.

Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms is joining the ranks of CNN as a political commentator, she announced Monday. Bottoms, who was a guest on CNN and other cable news shows throughout the pandemic and 2020 election cycle, said she applied to work at the Atlanta-based network when she was a student at Florida A&M University.
