Pennsylvania's most famous groundhog emerged from his burrow on a cold Wednesday morning and saw his shadow, declaring there would be six more weeks of winter. Punxsutawney Phil made his annual prediction as another major winter storm is bringing heavy snow, ice and freezing rain to a large portion of the country. Thousands of people from around the nation and other countries gathered at Gobbler's Knob as members of Phil's "inner circle" summoned him from his tree stump at dawn to learn if he had seen his shadow, a message they said Phil communicated in "groundhogese." After Phil's prediction was announced, the crowd repeatedly chanted "six more weeks!"

Clearly this extra six weeks was caused by the volcano...which erupted due to man caused global warming.

On a less reported note, Depends Joe crawled out from under his rock in DC and saw his shadow which predicts 6 more months of rampant inflation, uncontrolled Democrat spending and a successful invasion of the Ukraine by Putin.

It's an established fact that Groundhogs suffer from Astigmatism and a low rodent IQ

Groundhog Day is one of my favorite movies. The big winter storm means Global Warming is making winters everywhere colder. Basically, Science says Global Warming is cooling the planet. It's pretty straightforward Science. Anyone who says otherwise probably thinks lockdowns and masks were worse than useless and caused untold misery for nothing. What retards.

Phil is a rodent--not a meteorologist.
But I applaud the creative folks in Punxsutawney, PA for putting together a great special event to bring economic benefits to the town.

Well, I got out my tractor with the blade and bladed off my parking area and part of my driveway this afternoon. This is the third time this year.
The whole "global warming" fraud is clearly not matching reality. I often don't use the snow blade even once in a mild winter. Been using it even more in the last few years.

I predict my 2010 Honda CRV's clock will continue to display Jan 1 2002 4:00PM every time I start the car.
We've begun to call it the Groundhog day bug.

Saw that the NJ groundhog died over the weekend. My first words were that even the groundhog doesn’t want to live in NJ!

watched this phony spectacle (never watched or paid any attention to it before) because that was all that was on at the time and felt very sorry for the poor Groundhog

It may take six weeks for all that snow falling and swirling outside to melt, with what temps will be around for the next week. Snow piles from the last one hadn't even totally melted. I tell myself every day down is another day closer to Spring. Radio reports we may have up to 12+ inches before it stops some time tomorrow.
