Now what? Their agenda mostly shelved,
Democrats tout short list of accomplishments

Majority Leader Chuck Schumer told lawmakers the Senate would forgo a planned recess and remain in session next week to debate and vote on two partisan election bills and a major rule change to modify the long-standing filibuster. The party’s legislative agenda, however, is on hiatus. None of the measures the New York Democrat plans to bring up next week has a chance of passing, thanks to internal divisions. The exercise is merely poised to add to the pileup of stalled legislation that has left party lawmakers with little to show as voters become more frustrated with a Democratic-controlled government.

It's a short list alright.

Maybe they could do something people actually want. A border wall, end of the COVID chaos, crack down on the crime wave, and more favorable economic policies come to mind.

Do they really want to nuke the filibuster rule in order to pass an unconstitutional take-over of state election laws, just to have those laws overturned by the courts? Also, they would be doing away with the filibuster rule right before they will likely lose control of the Senate in the midterms. Their beloved Harry Reid made a similar blunder when he did away with the Senate's cloture rule to confirm judicial nominees, since he was so certain that PIAPS was going to win the next election. The result was tRump being able to confirm his nominees. The dems truly are the ''stoopid party''. Manchin and Sinema just prevented them from being the Stoopid Party on steroids.

Think of all of the tax dollars they saved by not shipping all of that $1 billion state of the art military equipment stored at Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan back to the US. Yep, Biden, his handlers and the woke General Milley are certainly on top of things for us.

Here's their most important "accomplishment", but it's one they'll never mention. Biden's admin agencies are already rating banks and businesses by their wokeness and forcing them to make the "right" decisions on diversity, equity, and inclusion or else. Let's temper our response to last week by knowing these people are about to turn into cornered snakes.

On Thursday, USA Swimming said that it will release a new policy 'shortly' on whether elite trans athletes,

If coordinated lies could stop the spread of respiratory viruses, Covid would have ended around the same time it started. Remember when 200 million Americans fell for the gigantic lie that we would vaccinate ourselves out of pandemic? Remember when we were promised super effective, super safe, and vaccines that made the difference between life or death? Yeah, me too. It’s a little harder to say “I told you so” when literally hundreds of millions of people face massive health risks into the foreseeable future, but many of them have been unnecessarily cruel, inexplicably arrogant, and absolutely hateful towards anyone not willing to drink the Fauci juice CORRECTION*

Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell is giving up the fight to protect the identities of eight "John Does" who allegedly preyed upon the girls she groomed, leaving the decision to unmask the men to the court, according to her attorney. The names are part of a 2015 defamation lawsuit brought against Maxwell by Virginia Giuffre, who has long claimed that the British socialite and her cohort, Jeffrey Epstein, sexually abused her as a minor, pimping her out to his high-profile friends, including Prince Andrew. Giuffre claims Maxwell aided in the abuse.

To suggest a then-sitting president was fomenting a coup against the state is not a minor charge. He claimed that smaller gatherings with everyone fully vaccinated and boosted against coronavirus is low risk, despite the massive number of breakthrough cases with the Omicron variant's emergence.

A 19-year-old man who was fatally shot by Metro Police in the southeast valley Monday had no connection to a murder police were investigating when they entered an apartment to serve a search warrant, police said today at a briefing. Assistant Sheriff Andrew Walsh said Isaiah Tyree Williams, 19, was shot by officers several times as they tried to serve a search warrant related to a November 2021 homicide. Two officers were injured in the exchange. Police announced their presence by yelling “police department, search warrant” multiple times at about 5 a.m. before entering the apartment in the 3000 block of South Nellis Boulevard, Walsh said.

New Jersey has banned police officers from lingering around polling stations and ballot drop boxes on election days under a new law that advocates argued was needed to protect against voter intimidation. Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy signed the Democratic-sponsored bill into law earlier in the week after it passed the Democratic-controlled state Legislature mostly along party lines. It says both plain-clothed or uniformed police need to keep at least 100 feet from polling stations or drop boxes.

Who, really, is in charge at the White House? It sure doesn’t look to be President Joe Biden. The latest evidence came last week when Chief of Staff Ron Klain delivered a behind-the-scenes message to Democratic allies and staff, just hours after Biden’s disastrous news conference: The prez had failed to mention that his next Build Back Better bill would fund child and elder care, but Klain insisted it would. As Axios reported, “Klain’s private comments are yet another indication the White House has a core set of priorities it plans to fight for” . . . even if the president doesn’t know about it fully yet.
