A majority of voters support keeping the Senate filibuster intact even as President Joe Biden and Democratic leaders push to do away with the Senate rule to pass election legislation, according to a poll commissioned by the conservative Senate Opportunity Fund 501(c)4 advocacy organization. The poll conducted by OnMessage, Inc. from Jan. 7 to 9 found that 53% of likely voters support the filibuster and 27% oppose it, while another 20% were unsure or had no opinion.

Comments:

Twice as many people support the filibuster than oppose it. And of the 20% that have "no opinion," they probably don't know what the filibuster is, and would support it if they did.

I'll see your "keeping the filibuster", and raise you "repealing the 17th amendment".

Journalist and author Bari Weiss blasted school closures and restrictions brought on during the pandemic as a 'catastrophic moral crime' and said that life must return to normal. Speaking on Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday night, the Substack journalist declared that she is 'done with covid!' 'We were told you get the vaccine, you get the vaccine and you get back to normal. And we haven't gotten back to normal. And it's ridiculous at this point,' Weiss began on the HBO show.

If coordinated lies could stop the spread of respiratory viruses, Covid would have ended around the same time it started. Remember when 200 million Americans fell for the gigantic lie that we would vaccinate ourselves out of pandemic? Remember when we were promised super effective, super safe, and vaccines that made the difference between life or death? Yeah, me too. It’s a little harder to say “I told you so” when literally hundreds of millions of people face massive health risks into the foreseeable future, but many of them have been unnecessarily cruel, inexplicably arrogant, and absolutely hateful towards anyone not willing to drink the Fauci juice CORRECTION*

Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell is giving up the fight to protect the identities of eight "John Does" who allegedly preyed upon the girls she groomed, leaving the decision to unmask the men to the court, according to her attorney. The names are part of a 2015 defamation lawsuit brought against Maxwell by Virginia Giuffre, who has long claimed that the British socialite and her cohort, Jeffrey Epstein, sexually abused her as a minor, pimping her out to his high-profile friends, including Prince Andrew. Giuffre claims Maxwell aided in the abuse.

Majority Leader Chuck Schumer told lawmakers the Senate would forgo a planned recess and remain in session next week to debate and vote on two partisan election bills and a major rule change to modify the long-standing filibuster. The party’s legislative agenda, however, is on hiatus. None of the measures the New York Democrat plans to bring up next week has a chance of passing, thanks to internal divisions. The exercise is merely poised to add to the pileup of stalled legislation that has left party lawmakers with little to show as voters become more frustrated with a Democratic-controlled government.

In this installment of our weekly Sunday Six conversation, PF Whalen and Parker Beauregard of The Blue State Conservative discuss the six biggest lies about January 6,, 2021 by the left and their media accomplices. #6: President Donald Trump incited an insurrection. Parker: Take this as you will. This item is listed sixth, but I wanted to put it first because it’s the most significant lie and most consequential of them all. To suggest a then-sitting president was fomenting a coup against the state is not a minor charge. Though Pelosi and others used the Reichstag Fire to impeach Trump and prevent him from holding elected office,

Anthony Fauci said Wednesday that he 'strongly recommends' against going to large New Year's Eve gatherings this year as the highly contagious Omicron variant causes massive case surges nationwide. 'If your plans are to go to a 40 to 50-person New Year's Eve party with all the bells and whistles and everybody hugging and kissing,' Fauci said during the White House COVID-19 Response Team briefing, 'I would strongly recommend that this year, we do not do that.' He claimed that smaller gatherings with everyone fully vaccinated and boosted against coronavirus is low risk, despite the massive number of breakthrough cases with the Omicron variant's emergence.

Democrats accused Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of racism for remarks he made about black Americans voting at just as high a percentage as 'Americans' after their voting rights package failed to make it through the Senate. The Kentucky Republican was asked by a reporter what his message is to voters of color who are 'concerned' that they won't be able to vote in the midterm election. 'Well, the concern is misplaced because you if you look at the statistics, African-American voters are voting in just as high a percentage as Americans,' McConnell said in response.

On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Assembly held another election integrity hearing to present evidence of voter fraud and irregularities that have been found in their investigation of the rigged 2020 election. And just like last month’s election hearing, they dropped some serious bombshells. Yesterday’s hearing built on those findings and presented more questions for the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC), which has failed to answer previous questions on the 2020 election. They did however respond to the reported 119,283 active voters who have been registered for over 100 years, but their weak response just didn’t cut it.

According to Griffin, Zucker "got very offended." "He started yelling at me and he literally said something like, ‘Who do you think you are calling here demanding a raise?’
