The fact that the FBI has lost its way has been on public display for at least five years now. Truth be told, it probably strayed off course way before that. But during the Trump Presidency, it became too obvious to ignore. It has been involved in everything from the creation of an “insurance policy” against the peaceful transition of power, to the targeting of parents as domestic terrorists for the sin of disagreeing with school boards. How did our “premier law enforcement agency” stray so far from its motto of fidelity, bravery, and integrity?
Simply put, the FBI’s current state is the result of horrible leadership.

When Criminals like Robert Mueller hire people they hire like-minded individuals! Hannity's statement about 95% of the Bureau are patriotic and honest Americans is way off mark. The converse is probably closer to the truth. There is no way the 95% would go along with 25 agents including SWAT go after a 65-year-old and his wife, who've never posed a threat to anyone. By the way, arrange for TV coverage holding the elderly lady outside for all to see in her night gown.

I believe the same thing can be said about our military and the rest of our institutions up and down the government - fear and intimidation are great motivators. Crucify a few malcontents here and there and you get compliance.

The FBI and other government agencies are very dirty and corrupt. The entire government needs to be dismantled and put back together at 50% capacity. The one thing that Trump did WRONG, he should have fired/removed every Obama hire from every agency IMMEDIATELY. He did not and they throw every obstacle in his way. If he wins in 2024, he needs to fired or remove every Obama and Biden hire immediately, then put a committee together to dismantle and restructure every government agency.

The FBI has the DNA of a cross-dressing, sexually-confused, ruthless, corrupt, sociopath in it's blood. J Edgar was ground zero for today's snake pit we're supposed to admire and trust without question. Comey and the rest are his spawn.

I'm wondering if the FBI wasn't always this bad. None of us realized just how biased the media was until Rush Limbaugh came along. We didn't realize just how entrenched the deep state was until Trump attempted to clean it out. We've known for a long time that there was a two tiered judicial system. But didn't realize how bad it was until it decided to persecute white Christian conservatives. Until Trump came along, the institutions never said out loud what they said in private. Even in the military, the senior brass took care of each other and by contractors, and are often rewarded with high paying jobs after retirement.
Soooooo......the question is....has the FBI ever been "not corrupt".

Who is Ray Epps and why is he STILL not arrested for his involvement as a provocateur at the January 6 riot? There are other prominent faces there, repeatedly, who have been ignored by the DOJ? Why is that? Were they all FBI agents? Just curious....

I hope the author goes back further in exposing (again) the corruption of the fbi. Louis freeh and his merry little band of miscreants who brought you the murders of ruby ridge and waco. His malfeasance was rewarded by promotion. The fbi and atf need to go the way of the dodo.

The FBI has been completely corrupt since its inception by J. Edgar Crossdresser. But thanks to a successful propaganda campaign, it has always portrayed itself as a bunch of Boy Scouts. As part of the Obama-Biden KGB Gestapo, the FBI needs to be uprooted and burned.

It sure isn't the FBI of Elliot Ness is it? Being law enforcement, I used to hold them in high esteem, except when they came in and jackbooted a local investigation...now not so much..I understand why some coppers call them 'feebs'....

Number 4 is correct..on day one he should have sent the US Marshals into every office and removed every one of them, no paperwork, no security badges, no data sticks or laptops allowed to go with them...kick them out the door and lock it after them.

#5, although J. Edgar Hoover was most likely a homosexual, (he shared a home with his long-time male assistant, who inbherited Hoover's estate) there was just one random comment back in the 1990s by a Washington socialite, who said Hoover attyended one party wearing a dress. Was it a costume party?
In my opinion, which I still value hghly, Herr Mueller did the most damage to the FBI. Taking over as director, at the time of 9/11/01, he purged FBI training materials of di9scussions and analyses of Islam as a threat. Hundreds of Americans here in America may have died because of that idiotic move. San Bernarino, Orlando, Boston Marathon, and on and on - killed by filthy islamofascist terrorist pigs, all [reviously interviewed by the FBI after displaying suspicious activity or threats.
That is the heritage of Herr Mueller.

I have yet to understand the legality of FBI agents being present at school board meetings; at WORST, if a problem existed, it should be under the purview of local authorities. and YELLING in disagreement at school board officials is NOT cause to call the police. Many school have security as a general rule.

But - - but - - but Hannity - - but Hannity keeps telling us that the FBI is 99.99999999% honest and patriotic.
Gosh - - after all these revelations - - I'm starting to not believe Hannity.

I think the changes in the FBI started during the Clinton administration. It's well known that Hillary got files from the FBI on all those she considered enemies, which was most of D.C.

I truly believe this all started with the Clintons and the replacement of the travel office workers with political acolytes. It's been repeated for 30 years throughout the administration of government. And when they left office, they innovated new ways to keep political appointees hoovering around the periphery of government, well paid, until they could return to power.

As depressing as the ethical collapse of the American legal system has become, the recent actions of the FBI rank right at the top of the list.
Despite the many questionable actions by leadership, from J. Edgar Hoover to today's deep state cabal of Comey, Mueller and their co-conspirators, citizens could take comfort in the belief that the field agents, the "real" FBI were straight arrows.
Now we have to face the truth that there is no way they could all be ignorant of what is happening and to a man - or woman - they are all "sworn officers." They took an oath which includes the phrase to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States... etc." -- Just like the President and other "officers" down to the newest 2nd Lieutenant on one of our military branches.
The only legitimate excuse for FBI field agents not reporting what is going on is that there is apparently no functioning "chain of command" to report to.
If that excuse is valid, the blame falls on the electorate. Every responsible voter should endeavor to determine each candidate's relation to the "deep state" faction - Democrat or RINO - an vote accordingly.

As I've said before, if a FBI agent was my next door neighbor, the only thing I'd say to him without a lawyer present is "Good Morning."
Somewhere I once read that one thing Mueller did at the FBI was require field agents who wanted to move up in the ranks to spend a couple years at the mothership in Washington DC. That hooked those folks into the mentality that Herr Mueller and his Swamp Gestapo were implementing. Those that didn't want to drink the Kool-Aid stayed in the field and their careers languished.

OP: His successors are on CBS for THREE hours Tuesday evenings: "FBI" "FBI: Most Wanted" and "FBI: International."
As for the real FBI, ask your local law enforcement folk for their opinions of the FBI since forever.

I used to think the bureau's problems were leadership related. Then I started seeing how low level agents are trying to foment and agitate their way up the corporate ladder to a spot in DC. Now I am not sure of anything except they have a lot of rot in that agency that needs to be ripped out by the roots. Start from scratch and build an honest agency like the Founders wanted. Oh and put laws back into place to forbid the CIA former employees from acting in concert with the FBI and the CIA on domestic soil. Like Eggs McMuffin, whose specialty was going into a foreign country and fomenting and agitating trouble for that nation's government.
