Let the parade begin!
Democrats who see the writing on the wall and who have been around in Congress for a while are seeing this as a good time to pack it in.
The latest to retire is five-term Rep. Alan Lowenthal (D-CA). Lowenthal is the 20th Democrat who will be retiring or otherwise moving on at the end of this term. He’s 80 years old and has been serving in political positions since 1992, almost thirty years. Generally, you hear a lot of retirements after the holidays. The fact that there have been so many already has to be worrying the Democrats because there are likely even more coming,

It’s looking very promising but let’s not count the chickens yet.

They say its not who votes, but who counts the votes. However, with this kind of polling, this early,if they Dominion the election next year, there will be blood, tar, and feathers in the street. And it won't be Republican!

It wasn't the machine as much as the mail in ballots. I don't trust Commiefornia but in many other places I hope many Republicans' volunteer to be poll watchers - especially Republican Lawyers.

We win, we maintain the status quo, we lose and the Leftist push us further into the absurd. We need a new plan that gives us more than a party on election night. What are we going to do differently this time?

Democrats bail from their seats at the midterm because they have a dufus president that everybody hates and know they will lose the majority. However, the corollary was different for Republicans in 2018. They bailed from their seats at the midterm when they had a successful, dynamic and wildly popular president to make sure they lost the majority. Uniparty in action ensuring the "balance" of power. FJB, Nancy Pelosi, UpChuck Schumer, Kevin McCarthy and China Mitch.
Fill those seats with MAGA people!

P.S… CA 47th District has a Cooks PVI of D+13. Last election no Republican won any D+ districts. Dems won some R+ districts, the greatest upset was an R+5 that went to the Dems. Obviously, flipping a D+13 district is unrealistic, (or worse). We should pick up all the R+ districts and maybe a couple D+1 or D+2, though “incumbent” is worth a PVI point or two on Election Day. Be nice to see a retirement that isn’t D+10 or greater.

We need more retirements. Paul Ryan, spit spit, arranged for 40 to give the gavel to demonic Nancy Pelosi.

If we replace Dems with RINOs we gain nothing at all. We must have good, sensible, solid constitutionalists to vote for. No more Deep State RINOs that talk about 'being conservative' and turn out to be leftists in disquise.
Sen Flake is an excellent example. There are many more, like Romney. McConnell should be gone, too.

None of these departing demonrats are guilty about what they've done to destroy the country. They're actually happy about their contribution.

Let’s not forget we have to get through a summer of progressives pushing mail-in voting due to COVID “scariants” that can upend any legitimate elections. No way Biden received 80 million votes. Keep that in mind always.

The California seats are safe for the rats. Republicans don’t stand a chance there. So, who cares if they retire? They will just be replaced with a clone.

The coming midterm election is an opportunity for us to restore sanity to our politics. But, that will not happen if the voters are not give decent Republican candidates. The GOP needs to vet their candidates. To often in the past they have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by backing anybody that calls themselves a Republican. We don't need any more RINOs.

So what. Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy will gladly make sure the progressive agenda moves on and consumes more of our lives, when have they not done so? There are so many assistant Democrats in the GOP. Nothing will change because of this. The Uni-Party is all that matters.

One step at a time...don't get cocky ...WE still have to monitor the dominion voting machine's use...WE must turn out in numbers so massive that no amount of cheating with illegals...who get paid for their votes BTW...or manipulation of the dominion nightmare...or dead men voting can overcome our numbers...let's roll MAGA!!

Looks like he discovered lobbying for the ChiComs pays better and is less work (hard to imagine but possible) than being a Congress-creature. I wish him well lobbying for slave labor to make Nike and LeBron richer.

Some old buzzard still sitting in Washington for 30+ years is a crime 80 years old to boot. Purge the place with this plan. After two terms start reducing their pay if they stay they will end up working for nothing reduce benefits too.

I'm guessing he's leaving as a multi-millionaire. And while they all leave to "spend more time w/their families", they always seem to stay in DC and work as lobbyists.
