A Texas man has been denied monoclonal antibody treatment for covid because he is white.
Earlier this year, the Texas Health and Human Services department (HHS) made monoclonal antibody treatments available to COVID patients following its Emergency Use Authorization by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in February.
The state has issued tens of thousands of monoclonal antibody treatments over the past several months, but recently, thanks to a supply shortage spurred by the Biden administration, the agency has begun segregating who can receive the treatment based solely on the color of their skin.
Now, the state is only providing the treatments to “high-risk ethnicity groups,”

Imagine the outrage and pearl clutching had the headline been "Texas COVID Patient Denied Monoclonal Antibodies By White Health Care Worker Because she's black".

The article's title makes it appear that the black woman denied the treatment, but the culprit is one fake Brandon. Thanks to Brandon there is a supply shortage that "forces" the state to provide treatments to high-risk ethnic groups and practice this segregation concerning a medical treatment. Is it unfair? Absolutely! and Greg Abbott should fix this. The lady wasn't mean or rude, but the hospital shouldn't allow a black or hispanic to be in charge of criteria, though. Black people still hover around 13% of the population. It's just not a good look, and it doesn't help race relations. At all!

#1, Sadly, it appears that we are in a post-Constitutional era. The political class has abandoned the Constitution and jettisoned the principle of equal justice under the law to drive the point home. I find myself shaking my head in disgust more and more each day. We are rapidly destroying everything that has made this country great. Apathy killed our exceptional experiment.

Policy in Texas is developed and executed by the heads of state agencies and their staffs. Abbott lets them run roughshod throughout the state. The Director of HHS should have been sent to a clinic in Nome, AK months ago. The power outage last February was the culmination of lack of oversight of ERCOT by the Texas Public Utility Commission and the legislature. The legislature being in session for only a short time is a great idea on paper, but they basically go into hiding during their downtime. In this day and age, a wishy-washy governor and incommunicado state senators and representatives lead to disaster for the people. All I can say to this crowd is, thanks for your stance on gun rights. It looks like were going to need them pretty soon.

There will come a day that we will see back alley health clinics manned by brave medical health care workers. They will secretly and at risk of their freedom take care of the elderly, handicapped and any others the state deems unworthy to live. This day is coming a lot sooner than I thought.

One has to wonder about the wisdom of attempting to force the majority population of a civilized country to treat one particular race as more important than all others. Note that this is the very definition of racism, yet blacks seem to be enjoying their moment on the pedestal. There is an old saying that goes something like, "you can not force somebody to be your friend." People will believe what they believe as individuals based on their life experiences, which leads me to believe that blacks will pay a high price for what the race-mongers seem to be doing for them today to force our acceptance of everything black in matters of employment, education, culture and now medical treatment. These types of forced policies are all subject to the swing of the pendulum and it's reaching the end of its swing. Blacks should take their status into their own hands (peacefully of course) instead of letting idealistic idiots speak for them. It will inevitably result in a very bad outcome.

Calling governor Abbott. What in the h3ll is going on in Texas. This treatment should be provided to ANYONE in need. You base it on the severity of the person's condition, not the skin color.

Florida bought doses of a monoclonal antibody treatment directly from the pharmaceutical company after the federal government took control of distribution. Texas...well, we have these expensive shipping containers along the border, and the TXNG deployed to taxi those thousands of apprehended illegals to the Border Patrol and ICE. Priorities, you know...

I guess #12 is disappointed we don't send foreign invaders to Maryland. I would agree with that.
Texas has the same problem pretty much and state in the world does, too much political power based in leftist cities. With so ,any crisis coming at the states all at once, it becomes a big problem to handle all at the same time without being able to print our own money like the communists in D.C. do.
With that said, Governor Abbott needs to get rid of some of these bueaucrats that get to thinking they are gods, and get hire some people that realize their jobe is to serve the people. In this case, we need a prosecutor to file attempted murder charges against whoever made this decision, and quit acting like he doesn't realize that the America haters are running D.C.
We all have to stand for ourselves. The constitution was a common defense agreement, and a trade pact. It is no longer being honored by Dems.

When you think of it, this Administration must be providing loads of business for lawyers as they keep acting as if United States' citizens have neither a Constitution nor a Bill of Rights.

in the radical black community that's call fairness but logically speaking it's called prejudice. the black care worker must have just been released from the plantation she worked at in 1860

What a load of garbage. This is not healthcare. This is the PC version of healthcare, and it is a sham.
Its all brought to us by the crooked senile fool in the Whitehouse, and his anti-American puppeteers hiding in the shadows behind him.

A friend of many years is now in ICU on ventilator after being denied monoclonal antibodies treatment on the same day that his wife, also just having gotten the virus, was given the monoclonal antibodies treatment.
She recovered in a couple of days, and he has been going steadily downhill for two weeks now. I didn't know about him being sick until it had been 9 days, so was unable to help him. No reason was given for not giving him the treatment other than 'don't meet the criteria'. What criteria, being a white male?
I have been praying for his recovery, but I am very worried.
This racist nurse needs to be gone and never work in medicine again.

Unfortunately #18, online before it disappeared, as America’s Real Voice News reported, it is not this (racist) nurse’s fault this happened. A guy at a Texas clinic tweeted that he was refused as well being told he “did not qualify” for the treatment. He peppered the nurse with her paperwork with questions. It SAID right there that priority was Hispanic and African-Americans - and the man was white.

One of my patients was denied the MCAntibody treatment because there are certain “criteria”, one of which is the patient room air PO2 must be above 92. That is essentially low-normal, while this lady uses a portable continuous oxygen generator, thanks perhaps to her past smoking habit. So she was admitted. Anyway, she survived when we smuggled in Ivermectin. What idiots comes up with the criteria? Try to find out, and avoid Emergency Rooms.

On average black Americans have worse health outcomes in all categories compared to white Americans. On average black Americans chose to do more illegal drugs, chose to drink more alcohol, chose to eat less healthy foods, chose to do less exercise, chose to smoke more, and chose to shoot each other more than white Americans. The obvious solution to this inequality is to degrade white Americans' healthcare until we are all equally unhealthy. BRILLIANT!

The infusion centers where the monoclonal antibody treatments are taking place are directly funded by the government of Texas, which means that Governor Greg Abbott’s administration should – at the very least – be aware of the inexcusable policy. Denying any American potentially life-saving treatment is never okay – Governor Abbott must immediately end this state-sponsored racism. The most sinister part in all this, they have convinced millions of white people that if they call this out, it's a sign of their racism
