On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “New Day,” Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) responded to a question on how Democrats are addressing concerns about the economy and inflation by stating he wishes reporting would mention that the reconciliation bill is paid for.
During a discussion on the spending bills, co-host John Berman asked, “How are Democrats addressing what are growing concerns among the American people, A. about the economy, but B. about inflation and prices, just getting out of this pandemic?”
Durbin responded, “Well, I wish that reporting would include the fact, as the president said in his visit to New Jersey, we’re paying for this.

Thanksgiving of 2021 may “be the most expensive meal in the history of the holiday,” the New York Times wrote Monday about inflationary prices American families will absorb to celebrate the holiday first commemorated by the Pilgrims in 1621.
“I can buy that this will be the most expensive Thanksgiving ever, but there’s an income-inequality story here that matters a lot,” agricultural economist at Michigan State University Trey Malone told the Times. “The rich are going to be spending more on Thanksgiving than they have ever spent before, but not everyone is going to be able to do that.”

Saule Omarova does not want to reform banking regulations—she wants to kill banks.
The biggest Wall Street banks would likely survive her favored reform. But it would have a 100 percent lethality rate for community banks.
Last month, President Joe Biden tapped Cornell Law School Professor Saule Omarova to be the next Comptroller of the Currency. That would put her in charge of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Treasury agency that supervises national banks and federal thrifts.
Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) has asked her to give the Senate Banking Committee a university thesis on Marxism she wrote during her time at Moscow State University in 1989

Veteran prop master Neal W. Zoromski says he turned down an offer to work on Alec Baldwin’s film Rust over safety concerns.
With credits going back to 1990, Zoromski told far-left NBC News, “I turned the job opportunity down on Rust because I felt it was completely unsafe.”
To save money, Zoromski said the film’s producers (Baldwin is a credited producer) took two separate jobs — prop master and armorer — and combined them into one job.
“I impressed upon them,” he said, “that there were great concerns about that, and they didn’t really respond to my concerns about that.”

The “Let’s Go Brandon” (code for “F*** Joe Biden”) phenomenon has been a fascinating trend to watch unfold in recent weeks, and on Thursday, it officially made its way to the floor of the U.S. House.
During a floor speech railing against President Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan, Rep. Bill Posey (R-Fla.) began by stating that “the President’s theme ‘Build Back Better’ just can’t pass the straight-face test.”
“In reality,” he suggested, “it’s like a ‘Demolish America Faster’ agenda. “If you really think it builds America back better,” he continued, “your view of America is different than most of the people I know.”

To their dismay, the Yale School of Public Health just concluded that immunity acquired by COVID-19 infection lasts three times longer and is stronger than that provided by vaccination. Naturally, the Yale Daily News downplayed the info under the headline, “COVID-19 reinfection is likely among unvaccinated individuals, Yale study finds.”
The Yale study concluded that the risk of COVID-19 reinfection stands at 5% at three months after recovery and decreases to 50% at 17 months. By contrast, COVID-19 vaccine protection against infection can wane to a mere 20% as early as five months after full vaccination. Now, I may not be a Fauci-approved Scientist, but I’m also not stupid.

On Sunday, KGVO reported that a 19-year-old man “on a worldwide trip from Afghanistan” was arrested and charged with having “sexual intercourse without consent” with an 18-year-old woman at a Residence Inn by Marriott in downtown Missoula, Montana.
According to KGVO and recent statements from Montana Governor Greg Gianforte, the suspect, Zabihullah Muhmand, wasn’t simply a world traveler. He was “in Montana under Humanitarian Parole, which is separate from the Special Immigrant Visa program.” In other words, Muhmand, the accused rapist, was an unvetted Afghan evacuee placed in Montana by the Biden administration.

How many FBI agents does it take to arrest the man who threatened to kill Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz?
Zero, you silly goose, because Gaetz is a Republican. If Gaetz were a Democrat, the alleged hitman would likely have been arrested and detained without bail, like the 71-year-old Pennsylvania man who was stopped while driving to D.C. with plans to kill various Democrats in February 2021. He is looking at a maximum ten-year sentence.
Rep. Matt Gaetz stated on the House floor that someone had threatened to kill him and the Department of Justice (DOJ) won’t arrest the man, despite the Capitol Police recommending they do so.
“I thank the gentleman for yielding

Anyone who may still be skeptical about the assertion that today’s college students are taught to hate America should take three minutes to watch this video from filmmaker Ami Horowitz, in which he asks students at the University of California, Berkeley to pledge money to the Taliban so that the jihad terror group can strike inside the United States and kill Americans.
“We’re trying to raise money for the Taliban,” Horowitz tells student passersby, and as if that wasn’t hard enough in itself to believe, he piles on more absurdities: “Tax deductible. I mean, if you earn money in Afghanistan, so that’s probably less helpful to you guys.”

Meghan Markle called on Congress to pass a federal paid parental leave program Wednesday in an open letter in which the Duchess of Sussex said she “grew up on the $4.99 salad bar at Sizzler.”
In the letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the Los Angeles-born Markle said the COVID-19 pandemic had “exposed long-existing fault lines in our communities.”
“At an alarming rate, millions of women dropped out of the workforce, staying home with their kids as schools and daycares were closed, and looking after loved ones full-time,” she wrote.

President Biden has granted one-fifth as many interviews as Donald Trump, one-eighth as many as Barack Obama and half as many as a nearly assassinated Ronald Reagan did at this point in their presidencies, data shared with The Post reveal as reporters fume about limited access.
Biden’s Thursday night CNN town hall will bring him to 16 interviews total — versus 82 by Trump, 131 by Obama and 32 by Reagan, according to data compiled by presidential historian Martha Kumar.
The lack of interviews comes amid plummeting Biden approval figures following the chaotic US troop withdrawal from Afghanistan and a resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic —

An accident involving a firearm on the set of the upcoming film "Rust" has left the director of photography dead and the director injured. Star Alec Baldwin discharged the prop gun while filming a scene on Thursday, authorities say.
A helicopter transported cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, to the University of New Mexico Hospital, where she was pronounced dead by medical personnel, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office. The director, 42-year-old Joel Souza, was transported via ambulance to Christus St. Vincent’s hospital and is receiving emergency treatment for his injuries.
"According to investigators it appears that the scene being filmed involved the use of a prop firearm when it was discharged,"
