Dr. Anthony Fauci has moved the goalposts on what it means to be “fully vaccinated,” and I’m sure you can guess how it has changed.
For many months now, being “fully vaccinated” meant that you had to have two doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna mRNA vaccine, but now, according to Fauci, you’re not fully vaccinated unless you get the booster shot. “It is likely, for a real complete regimen, that you would need at least a third dose,” Fauci told The Atlantic in an exclusive interview.(Snip)“I’ve made it clear that my opinion has always been that I believe that a third-shot booster

Sen. Ted Cruz cheered the NBA players who refuse to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and ended his applause with a shot at liberals who back abortion rights. “I stand with Kyrie Irving. I stand with Andrew Wiggins. I stand with Bradley Beal. I stand with Jonathan Isaac,” he said. The four players are among the highest-profile holdouts against the league’s strict COVID-19 protocols, which restrict the travel and requires the testing of unvaccinated players. According to the players’ union, 90% are vaccinated.(Snip)The Texas Republican ended his tweet by puckishly citing a common liberal argument in the context of abortion. “#YourBodyYourChoice,” he said.

Most Americans no longer trust President Biden to give accurate information about the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the latest Axios/Ipsos Coronavirus Index. Conducted Sept. 24-27, the survey of 1,105 Americans over the age of 18 reported that only 45% trust President Biden “a great deal or a fair amount” to give them honest information about the virus, while 53% trust him “very little or not at all.” “Fewer than half now say they trust the president, a 13-percentage point decline from his high water mark right after his inauguration in January,” wrote the survey’s four authors.

Police across the country are filing lawsuits, requesting exemptions and considering quitting or getting fired over their opposition to coronavirus vaccine mandates. Nearly 200 San Francisco police officers have applied for religious exemptions to avoid a required inoculation by Oct. 13 or risk being fired. A survey this month of 733 members of the San Diego Police Officers Association showed about 91% (667) do not believe vaccines should be mandated and 45% (333) said they would rather be fired than comply with a vaccine mandate. Seven Denver police officers sued local officials last week, arguing that it is unlawful to order city employees to be vaccinated

President Biden's top military adviser offered a devastating verdict on the U.S. war in Afghanistan during congressional testimony on Wednesday, saying for the first time that the 20-year conflict ended in defeat. Administration officials have repeatedly claimed the conflict achieved its objective of degrading Al Qaeda in the wake of the 9/11 attacks and ensuring Afghanistan could not be used to launch attacks against the U.S.(Snip)'The war was a strategic failure,' he said during his opening statement to the House Armed Services Committee. He was later asked whether Biden's decisions were to blame.

United Airlines said Tuesday that 593 of its employees are facing termination for failing to comply with its Covid-19 vaccination policy, one of the strictest mandates for inoculation from a U.S. company. More than 96% of United’s 67,000-person U.S. workforce complied with the vaccine requirement. The deadline to upload proof of inoculation, or the first shot if receiving a two-dose vaccine, was late Monday. Roughly 2,000 United employees sought exemptions from the mandate, which the airline announced this summer, for religious or medical reasons. The Chicago-based airline had said staff to whom it grants such exemptions will be placed on temporary unpaid leave.

A senior U.S. Army flight surgeon with specialized training in infectious diseases has filed an affidavit against the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for active-duty military personnel, warning that problematic heart side effects may cause pilots to die in mid-flight. Lt. Col. Theresa Long, the surgeon responsible for certifying the fitness of 4,000 flight-ready airmen at the 1st Aviation Brigade in Ft. Rucker, Alabama, said that she is concerned that the vaccines can cause inflamed heart muscles in young men in the age range of most flight-ready pilots, and that the Department of Defense has not followed its own protocols by requiring an MRI scan

Teen climate activist Greta Thunberg mocked President Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan as she chastised world leaders Tuesday for their “empty” promises of eco-action—dismissing it all as “blah, blah, blah.” “This is all we hear from our so-called leaders: Words. Words that sound great but so far have led to no action,” the 18-year-old Swedish activist told crowds at the Youth4Climate summit in Milan, Italy. “This is not about some expensive, politically correct green act of bunny hugging, or blah, blah, blah. Build Back Better, blah, blah, blah,” she said, deriding Biden’s controversial $3.5 trillion post-COVID plan. “Green economy, blah, blah, blah.
