Nearly 90 retired U.S. generals and admirals penned an open letter asking Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley to resign from their positions following their “negligence in performing their duties primarily involving events surrounding the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.”
“As principal military advisors to the CINC [Commander-in-Chief]/President, the SECDEF and CJCS should have recommended against this dangerous withdrawal in the strongest possible terms,” the letter states. “If they did not do everything within their authority to stop the hasty withdrawal, they should resign. Conversely, if they did do everything within their ability to persuade the CINC/President to not

It's a start, but I would like to see 90 current flag officers do the same. So far, only one Marine colonel stepped up, and got cashiered for his trouble.

It’s a start, a small snowball if you will, that I hope will turn into an avalanche.

No more sneering at, mocking and making fun of France and "Old Europe" anymore. America is worse.

The comparison of Benedict Arnold with Traitor Joe is interesting. Arnold tried to give away a fort to the British, but was detected and failed. Traitor Joe succeeded in giving away Afghanistan to the Taliban, and supplied them with ample weapons for a prolonged struggle. Arnold became a General in the British Army. Traitor Joe is Commander-in-Chief. Arnold died in England, nearly penniless. Traitor Joe will retire with an enormous pension, Secret Service protection, and proceeds of a lifetime of grifting.
George Washington, where are you when we need you?

Too bad they didn't step up when Marxists stole our government via criminal fraud. If there are resignations, the replacements won't be any better. It does not address the root of the problem.

Any attempt to fire Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and you will be called a "raycyst".
General Mark Milley is too busy finding CRT "teachers" versus destroying the enemy.

They have nothing to lose by doing this letter which they know will probably be a two day story. I am with #8. We need current military stepping out. Extraordinary damage done to the country demands extraordinary measures.

Why do all these high ranking official naively still believe this was a mistake and not the plan all along? The Covid bioweapon, the stolen election, and the humiliation and weakening of America in Afghanistan are not just coincidences. Wake up, Neo.

I forgot to include the collapse of the Southern border and the invasion of America by immigrants from every terrorist nation in the world. The Taliban is now the best armed Islamist state in the world thanks to the weapons they captured. How do you think this is going to end?

Are these the same “retired general’s “ who wanted Trump to resign. Need names before I believe anything from the press. Even though the federalist is better than most.

#5, Reminds me of the old insult about French owned Mausers for sale. Nearly new, only dropped once. (But still great rifles, particularly the 8 MM).

I saw a couple names I served under over the years and was glad to see them. I also DIDN'T see the biggest idiot I ever served under. Not surprised, but disappointed. How's that cushy defense job working out for you, Bil?

#7, very interesting comparison between Traitor Joe and Traitor Benedict Arnold. It isn’t up to me (obviously) but I would guess Joe will join his fellow anti-American in enduring the eternal flames of hell.

Can you imagine if this happened under Trump? A Republican Congress would have impeached him on day three of this mess. Maybe this will lead to former military folks stepping up like we see in the movies. We have former military going into Afghanistan to rescue Americans; we need some rescue stateside. These people believe they are untouchable.

Funny, no it's sad, that nowhere did I read anything about the Obummer purging all of the conservative warrior officers out of the Military when the Obummer was in office.
