McCarthy won't rule out booting Cheney

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Thursday did not rule out booting Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) from the powerful Armed Services Committee amid a partisan brawl over who should serve on the special committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) tapped Cheney, who has blamed Trump for inciting the Capitol insurrection, as her sole GOP pick for the special panel. But this week, McCarthy came under intense pressure by his rank-and-file members to strip Cheney of her Armed Services assignment after the Speaker rejected two of his five picks for the panel: Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Jim Banks (R-Ind.), both Trump loyalists.

Comments:

The Head Squish has spoken. McCarthy takes his hardest line yet against moonbat Liz Cheney.

McCarthy is a totally useless incompetent. He’s less than a lightweight. . Until he’s removed there is no Republican Party opposition. There isn’t a party. They continue to be a ship of fools And Everybody Knows it. Just a total disgrace. McCarthy is just one more in a line of Pathetic Republican Leaders. Absolutely Pitiful!!!

She should be booted from every committee (let Nancy appoint her), every GOP caucus and meeting, no more RNC/RCCC $$$, and support to any legitimate primary challenger. Same for any other Republican thinking about joining Nancy's lynch mob. Let the Democrats support the trators. We won't.

McCarthy is such a teaser. He'll do no such thing. Has everyone on this so-called committee voted to impeach Trump? If so, its not valid. Did the Republicans ever agree to this committee at all? If not, its a sham. Neither does Pelosi get to determine the number of Republicans on the committee unilaterally. She certainly does not get to say which Republicans are on the committee. This is all a farce. The committee has no credibility. As for Cheney, the citizens of Wyoming need to recall her if they are serious about getting rid of her.
