After nearly giving up on love, Dina Huxley’s life was falling into place.
She found her soulmate, Iain, in 2018, through a dating app. They married a year later, and welcomed a baby boy in June.
It was a storybook ending which crumbled just two weeks after the birth of their son.
Iain, 46, was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which had spread to his liver.
Instead of enjoying her new life as a mom, she began searching for treatments to help Iain, who has been in and out of the hospital with infections that delayed his chemotherapy.
“It’s like we hit a tree and ended up upside down,” she said.

On Friday, a coalition of Orthodox Jewish rabbis announced that it had garnered 10,000 signatures on a petition in which signers pledged to boycott Ben & Jerry’s after the ice cream chain announced it would stop serving Israeli settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem. As of Friday afternoon, 10,465 people had signed the petition.
“We, the undersigned, condemn Ben & Jerry’s decision to end sales in Judea and Samaria, two areas that have been continuously in the possession of the Jewish people for nearly 4,000 years––since Abraham purchased the Cave of the Patriarchs,” the petition reads.
“The company’s decision will perpetuate malicious, ahistorical notions

As an athlete, there are certain games that you never forget. Maybe it’s because of a play you made, the energy of the crowd, the stakes involved – or it could be something deeper. One of those games for me came in September of 2011, my senior year on the University of Arkansas football team. We were playing New Mexico, but that’s not why I remember it. We were commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11, and War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock had been transformed into a sea of red, white, and blue. Depending on the section you were in, fans wore color-coded clothing

Leftist Senator Sheldon Whitehouse -- who has spent much of his adult life as a member at least one all-white social club in his home state of Rhode Island -- long ago established himself as a conspiracy theorist. During the 2018 confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Whitehouse distinguished himself as the most aggressive demagogue amid a crowded field of gasbags and presidential aspirants on the Senate Judiciary Committee. He left no stone unturned, demanding answers on crucial issues ranging from teenage drinking games to f*** jokes. He constructed cockamamie, debunked theories.

At least two Republican-led states are now considering banning Ben & Jerry’s ice cream after the company announced on Monday that it would no longer sell its ice cream in “occupied Palestinian territory.”
Both Texas and Florida officials have come out against Ben & Jerry’s, threatening to invoke state laws to punish companies that advocate or act to boycott, divest, or sanction Israel. America’s strongest ally has decried the ice cream giant’s move as anti-Israel and antisemitic.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Texas State Comptroller Glenn Hegar are threatening to add Ben & Jerry’s and its parent company, Unilever, to a blacklist of organizations that boycott Israel.

Attorney Joseph McBride, who represents Capitol protester Richard Barnett, was in the news earlier this week after an interview on CNN went off the rails when he was mocked by anchor John Avlon for alleging that protesters arrested for their roles in the January 6 protest were being “tortured.”
His assessment was a reference to months of solitary confinement, as many of those arrested are being denied bail. But he also said they were “being beaten, they’re being starved, they’re denied medical care, they’re being denied the right to worship, they’re being cut off from their attorneys.”

U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) went rogue on Wednesday, holding her own press conference to bash Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy for pulling out of the Jan. 6 Commission after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi blocked conservative Reps. Jim Jordan and Jim Banks from being on the committee.
Cheney stands as the sole Republican backing Pelosi in her biased packing of the commission. She stood on the steps of the Capitol and railed against her fellow Republicans, accusing McCarthy of not wanting to get to the bottom of the Jan. 6 riot.

The office of former first lady Melania Trump clapped back at a report published this week claiming she said the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) was “not a war hero” after enduring unimaginable abuse as a prisoner during the Vietnam War.
On Wednesday, Business Insider reported that Trump “shared her husband’s low opinion” of McCain’s “military record” as a Navy fighter pilot who was shot down and severely injured before he was captured by North Vietnamese forces and interned for nearly six years.

They can’t stand other opinions. They can’t. They cannot be allowed to live. The people who hold them must be targeted and smeared. All must bow before the unholy altar of American progressivism. If you can’t convince them, destroy them, or deprogram them. That’s what The Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson and Nikole Hannah-Jones wanted yesterday. Grabien’s Tom Elliott clipped the madness.
People who support Trump are mentally defective, so they must be deprogrammed. What does that mean? Sounds Stalinist in the extreme. It also reeks of Chinese Cultural Revolution underpinnings. Those who do not believe what we believe are off to the camps. It’s nothing new.

Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) and eight others were arrested Thursday after they took part in a voting rights protest that illegally blocked the door of a Senate office building on Capitol Hill.
Johnson, 66, who has represented a majority-African American district east of Atlanta since 2007, tweeted that he was “protesting against Senate inaction on voting rights legislation & filibuster reform.
“In the spirit of my dear friend and mentor – the late Congressman John Lewis – I was getting in #goodtrouble,” Johnson added.
Earlier Thursday, Johnson joined other members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) at a rally outside the Supreme Court to urge the Senate to scrap its legislative filibuster,

A California couple whose gender reveal pyrotechnic show started a massive inferno that killed a fireman last year have each been hit with involuntary manslaughter charges.
Refugio Manuel Jimenez Jr. and Angela Renee Jimenez pleaded not guilty to the felony charge and 29 other counts related to the September 2020 El Dorado Fire on Monday, officials said.
The wildfire was allegedly started by the couple’s smoke-generating pyrotechnic device that ignited dry grass at the foot of the San Bernardino Mountains, 75 miles east of LA.
The Jimenezes tried to put out the blaze with bottled water, but it was quickly stoked by strong winds and dry conditions, authorities said

A Florida condo building less than six blocks from the ruins of Champlain Towers South has been found to be structurally unsound — and residents are moving out in droves.
Regent Palace in Surfside, whose residents funded their own engineering study after the June 24 collapse nearby, got an urgent notice from city inspectors about serious problems there — and didn’t wait to pack up and leave, WTVJ-TV said.
“Honestly, you know, the building was analyzed and deemed unsafe, so we’re not gonna take any risk,” Regent resident Theo Magnat said.
Comments:
Apparently Sen. Whiteclub has nothing better to do than harass a Supreme Court Justice. Leftism is indeed a mental disorder.
