KEOKUK, Iowa — Democrats lost last year's election for Iowa's 2nd Congressional District by the narrowest margin in a House race in almost 40 years. After the six-vote heartbreaker, some expected Democrat Rita Hart to immediately declare a rematch in the southeast district long held by her party. So far, no Democrat has stepped up to run. The hesitancy to jump into a district now as competitive as they come is one measure of Democrats' fatigue in a state viewed for decades as a true battleground. Even as the coronavirus pandemic gradually wanes and President Joe Biden's job approval remains strong

So " Joe Biden's job approval remains strong"? Among the fake news employees of the AP newsroom perhaps--but not in any way attached to reality.
But, this is a typical promotion of all things democrat by Yahoo "news".

Same old saw...Bidens job approval is strong. My eye. But if Iowa republicans don't step on themselves 2022 is going to be a blowout.

The Iowa legislature had a fabulous year, passing election reform, banning critical race theory, passing a billion dollar tax cut, banning required mask wearing, requiring no license for gun ownership, passing constitutional amendment negating right to abortion, ending death taxes, encouraging charter schools, supporting police, protecting drivers caught in riots etc. No wonder Democrats cry themselves to sleep!
Iowa is a fabulous place to work hard and raise a bunch of kids.

Joe is doing a good job by AOC standards but then she's just a bartender who managed to jump up way beyond her level of competence, just as Joe did. She and Joe make the Peter Principle look like the new democrat plan to make America a banana republic.

Rasmussen has Biden at 53 percent approval. Just checked. Is that strong? Maybe tepid. Essentially half the country is okay with him and half the country is not okay with him, give or take.
The AP is just propaganda. If Biden were so great, why is there panic among Dems about the midterms? I am not buying what these shysters are selling.

Seems not long ago Republicans/conservatives were squealing in glee about the upcoming Presidential blow-out. In the bag. Joe Biden is a joke. Harris a hoe. No matter HOW the result occurred, look who lost that election. Get out to work for the candidate of your choice. Money is nice, but workers are better. And then don't abandon the winner of the primary if your choice doesn't advance.

Well #7 your comment is spot on. However it’s easier to complain about fraud, etc. than it is to actually get involved in supporting a candidate on a local and national level beyond just donating money. Simple fact...Trump lost. And the mantra that he controls the party is stupid. Voters like myself control the party and if decide someone besides Trump should be our candidate...so be it. The politicians that are so afraid of Trump need to grow a pair. You don’t like something he said or did...say so. He only has power if we allow him to have it as party members. A lot of people voted for him because they didn’t like what Biden was offering....not because they thought Trump was some savior who walked on water.
He exposed how DC works and hats what people should remember. We need to replace many of the geriatrics in Congress, in both party’s, with younger people with fresher ideas and not the same old recycled ideas repacked as new.

Iowa. Isn't that fly over country to the socialists? What corn fed brain damage occurred in Iowa that the demosluts have had control for sixty years?

This article is just an article trying to push the lie that Biden's approval rating is high, and make excuses for why no one likes the democrats. The author also hopes Biden's "economic polices" will help the democrats. What economic policies? Shoveling more money to the democrats to buy votes? I love it that they are scared.

Joe Biden's job approval.
Show me someone who approves of Joe Biden and I will show you a true mental midget.
Bad enough they hid him during the election, but now he is in the open and anyone with a brain can see that Joe's brain is only hitting on 2 cylinders.

Dems show signs of panic. Districts that were close in 2020 continue trending to the right. Old Joe's 'strong approval rating' somehow offers no comfort.
