The nation’s largest defense contractor allegedly held a three-day training program for white male executives so they could deconstruct their “privilege” and understand how white male behavior is “devastating” to racial minorities and women, journalist Christopher Rufo reported Wednesday.
Lockheed Martin hosted “White Men As Full Diversity Partners,” a diversity-consulting firm, in 2020 to help 13 of its senior employees understand white male privilege, according to Rufo’s report.

Too bad about the military - she was the last reliable federal agency but that’s gone now. There was a time their mission was to kill people and break things - no more. Diversity, getting even with whitey, and having your plumbing re-arranged on demand is now job 1. Warriors no longer need apply.

One by one, former well-run and effective organizations are falling for this diversity nonsense. Others have succumbed long ago. If you don't already possess a healthy dose of self-guilt and shame, these training programs will provide it for you. Wasting three days of an executive's time to tell him that he is a pathetic human being is now seen as "training." Even the reputedly smart leadership of Mensa has fallen for this twaddle.

meh. When your biggest customer "suggests" you do something legal and IMO meaningless you do it. I say meaningless because this type of training is usually awareness and endured but it rarely changes anyones beliefs nor behavior. I was a manager at LM for 20 years and had to facilitate this type of customer required and taxpayer funded awareness training for diversity and ethics or any other customer whim annually. I witnessed most employees disliked the interruptions in their routine and used the sessions as a some down time opportunity and most never paid much attention. We called it @ $ $ hole armor as it was customer required and liability insurance for the company.

Lockheed Martin gets so much money from the government with, essentially, open-ended purchasing contracts, that it got an unofficial name as Lock Mart (ala Wal Mart) among government and military employees. ''Whatever you need, we can deliver!''

Back in the 90's I went to diversity training while working for Boeing. Sure enough the head of diversity for the Military Airplanes who presented was black man. But wow was I ever surprised. He was great and didn't target racism. He targeted the "good old boy" club that kept all who weren't in the inner circle on the outside, focusing on diversity of thought and paths that led us to Boeing not race or gender. Those things came up but in their appropriate place an context.
I wonder if any fortune 500 company could or would do that now.

I never knew working for almost six decades paying taxes, purchasing homes, raising children, saving for future retirement with some time spent on hobbies was a privilege but now I read that is was. Would the military smart woke people become satisfied if it tossed out all white males then the military recruit only blacks with a mix of transgender patriots to defend the nation? Probably not.

I see, I guess that means the behavior that allowed you to work hard all your life, get an education, respect people and authority and that your parents taught you the difference between right and wrong. All this while racial minorities have the same privilege but refuse to get an education, refuse to work and refuse to respect any kind of authority. And, they are responsible for over 60% of the murders, 100% of car jackings, most home invasions and commit over 80% of the violent crimes in our country. And recently they have expanded their resume to include attacking Asians and Jews. All this and its the white guy's problem. These morons at Lockheed have their heads up their posteriors and are pure scum. Got it.

You guys just don't get it. Being "woke" is like eating fish that is "sustainable." Nobody knows for sure what that means, but c'mon man, everyone will think you're a better person for doing it. Some government agency will soon come up with a Woke Rating System so private sector entities can be ranked according to their current, certified Corporate Woke Level. Think I'm kidding?

To the aspirant, face pressed against the window, this looks and feels like corruption.
However.....when YOU are the CEO filling out your new executive staff......you need people you know and trust.
......and it doesn't feel like corruption at ALL !!!

Excuse me for repeating a post I made a while ago. I too, was forced by my employer to attend diversity training. It was taught by a harpie and a black man from The Big City. I had my facts in order and never let anything slide ( IE: a disproportionate amount of blacks in prison, etc..)
At the lunch break, the woman privately told me I could leave if I wanted to. I refused and the session was over shortly after lunch: hours early.
