House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) campaign committee has repeatedly deceived donors by personally promising she would match campaign contributions but has not matched a single cent, according to a report.
Pelosi has been using a popular deceptive tactic used in political fundraising to gather more donations. According to the report by Axios, the tactic that has been under intense scrutiny is to promise donation-matching.
Pelosi’s campaign has reportedly gone a step further by the speaker promising the contribution matching would come from her personal fortune. But, reports show Pelosi has not made a single contribution from herself.

Just a thought occasioned by the fact that the United States recorded 13,541 cases yesterday, the lowest single-day number — by far — since the virus started rolling last March. The best we’d managed since April 1, 2020 was one day last June when cases slipped under 19,000 briefly as the country enjoyed a summer respite from its terrible first wave. But testing was still sparse back then. There were probably many infections going undetected.
Last June was also the last time we saw a seven-day average in daily cases of 25,000 or lower, again with lower testing. Right now we’re at 25,083.
Is this it? The imminent demise of COVID?

A measure long sought by conservative activists allowing Texans to carry handguns without a license is on the cusp of becoming law after the Texas Senate approved a compromise on the bill Monday, sending it to Gov. Greg Abbott.
Abbott has said he would sign the permitless carry proposal into law.
"We should have 'constitutional carry' in Texas," Abbott told North Texas radio host Rick Roberts in April. Just before midnight Sunday, the House approved the deal, hashed out behind closed doors, in an 82-62 vote. The Senate approved the deal Monday in a 17-13 vote.

We’ve heard about what Barack Obama reportedly thinks about Donald Trump from Edward-Isaac Dovere’s new book Battle for the Soul: Inside the Democrats’ Campaigns to Defeat Donald Trump, but Obama also had some things to say about Joe Biden… and they aren’t very flattering.
According to The Daily Mail, which has previewed Dovere’s book, Obama was “dubious” about Biden’s presidential aspirations in 2016. “Obama, for his part, went from assuring his aides not to worry, that his vice president was just working out his grief at his son’s [Beau’s] death by entertaining the fantasy of running for president, to becoming worried that Biden was actually getting lost in his fantasy.”

Dan Crenshaw has a thing or two to say about woke military recruitment.
Over the weekend, the Texas congressman slammed the service as it relates to political correctness, particularly regarding a United States Army marketing video.
As you’re likely aware, it’s a new look for American defense, not the least of which is accomplished by it being a cartoon: Older ads were a bit harder-edged: Perhaps more notably, America’s updated approach starkly contrasts that of Russia: China looks to take a different angle as well: That brings to mind a headline at — oddly — AmericanMilitaryNews.com: “Bill Maher Video: China Dominates World While US Busy with ‘Never-Ending Woke Competition.'”

If Rep. Liz Cheney thought the “strange new respect” she garnered from the left-wing media over the last several months would be long-lasting, she’s learning quickly that’s not the case. Apparently, simply being anti-Trump doesn’t mean much if you choose to not toe the line on every single issue.
With that said, I regret to inform all of you that the honeymoon is over. Who could have possibly foreseen this except everyone paying attention? This is the problem with seeking backslaps from Chuck Todd, Jake Tapper, The Washington Post, and the rest of the mainstream media. As a Republican, you are always just a tool

Prediction: The nays of Texas will likely be upon him. The obvious electoral disaster ahead hasn’t stopped Democrats in the Lone Star State from attempting to draft Robert “Beto” O’Rourke for a gubernatorial bid, though. The Associated Press reports this morning that O’Rourke is giving it serious consideration, despite running to the hard Left in the presidential primary in 2019:
There’s no road trip, no soul searching. No beard or blogging. But Beto O’Rourke is making a political life decision again.
Three years after becoming Democrats’ breakout star out of Texas, and a year removed from crashing back to Earth in a short-lived presidential run, O’Rourke is again weighing another campaign

Austin, Texas, enjoys a well-deserved image as a cool and rapidly growing city, with great food, nightlife, a booming tech industry, the University of Texas, and major events such as Austin City Limits music festival, South by Southwest, and Formula 1. But over the past two years it has gained a new reputation: a city with a homelessness crisis, fueled by a misbegotten “camping” policy.
On July 1, 2019, a public-camping ordinance took effect that made unregulated, open public camping lawful in nearly all public spaces in Austin. The consequences were profound immediately.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said Sunday he is not getting vaccinated because he already had Covid-19. Speaking with a conservative radio host on WABC radio, Paul, an Ophthalmologist, said he won't change his mind unless he sees evidence that people who have already been infected are again getting very sick, needing hospitalization or dying.
"Until they show me evidence that people who have already had the infection are dying in large numbers, or being hospitalized or getting very sick, I just made my own personal decision that I’m not getting vaccinated because I’ve already had the disease and I have natural immunity," Paul said.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) hit the bar this weekend and violated her own coronavirus orders, according to a photo Breitbart News has exclusively obtained.
Whitmer and a large group of friends, including her appointed chief operations officer, Tricia Foster, visited the Landshark in East Lansing, violating her restaurant orders in the process, according to a photo one of the attendees posted on Facebook. The photo, posted Saturday, was part of a montage. Shortly after, Whitmer’s friend deleted the collage and reposted it sans the governor and one of her top aides: The group shot of 13 individuals appeared to violate the governor’s restaurant capacity order issued May 15

A physician’s message about low pediatric deaths from COVID-19 was blocked from Facebook for violating “community standards on spam.” Dr. Tracy Høeg, sports, spine, and regenerative medicine doctor responded to a poster’s question about the infant mortality rate due to COVID.
Dr. Høeg told users following her account that there were 19 infant deaths due to COVID in April, a number that is rapidly declining.
“Part of the reason I have (for the most part) left Facebook is they delete my post/responses that are factual, which I triple check,” she wrote. “I was responding to a question about what the number of pediatric deaths were due to COVID

According to a handful of critical race theory proponents who want the controversial worldview to be taught in schools and dominate our society, reason must be rejected and the United States Constitution should be “burned.”
You can see a clip of their discussion here. In the clip, one of the CRT supporters calls for both the rejection of reason and the end of the American Constitution. The four CRT backers involved in the conversation are Alfred “Shivy” Brooks, candidate for city council in Atlanta; Dr. Kate Slater, a recruiter for a leading prep school; and Louiza “Weeze” Doran.
