James “Bo Snerdley” Golden, the longtime producer and call-screener for the late Rush Limbaugh, premiered a highly-anticipated new podcast this week on IHeart Radio. The new podcast, “The Man Behind The Golden Microphone,” will endeavor to show that there was more to the talk radio giant than just his politics and often bombastic personality, according to Golden. Limbaugh passed away in February after battling lung cancer.Appearing Thursday night on Fox News’s “Hannity,” Golden said there are still times today that he has trouble accepting Limbaugh’s death.

How can this be? Everyone knows that Rush Limbaugh was racist, so how can he have a black man as a producer?

I miss my radio friend every day.
But, that is how it is when people you care for and are important pass.
All my best to Mr. Golden.

I wish him well in this endeavor. The show itself needs to move on however. Pretending Rush is still alive and commenting on today’s news is just weird.

I hope this is prelude to the estimable Mr Golden gaining his own voice. I think he would be a wonderful follow up after Rush.

I still get into my car in the middle of the day and reflexively reach for the radio to tune into Rush.....and then remember than I can't, and the sadness and loss is renewed.
I can understand Mr. Golden's feelings very well. About 6 weeks ago, I lost one of my best friends of the last 40 years to cancer. We had eaten dinner together every Friday night of those 40 years that we were both in town and without other unavoidable commitments. Probably 40-45 dinners per year, so well over 1600 times, we spent two or three hours enjoying each other's company. And that doesn't include the shooting matches we both competed in, many hundreds of those, too. And gun shows, half a day spent together looking at, purchasing, discussing guns, and family and just things. He was my friend and I miss him a lot. I still see something really interesting and think that I want to share it with him.....but I can't.
My sympathy to Mr. Golden, losing a good friend can be a very hard thing. I know.

Good on Bo but like #5, I've fully accepted what happened and moved on. Don't even know what comes on during that time slot these days. Pretty much given up talk radio altogether except for some local conservative spark plugs. Tried Levin the other night and Hannity calls in to tell the audience that we should all buy Mark's new book. Seriously? I'm tired.

If you take the time to listen to this specific podcast, be prepared to cry. His listeners will remember some of the clips played and it really brings it all back. We lost a warrior!
Like Bo, I really believed Rush would survive. He had millions and millions of us praying for him as we did for our country and President Trump. For whatever reason, God didn't listen.

Until a few months ago I never knew Mr. Sneardly was black. Wish Rush had made that known years ago so the Dems couldn’t accuse him of racism. I know they would have come up with other attacks but doubt they would have had much impact. Go well.

#10, it was no particular secret, but being on the radio, it wasn't obvious, either. I'm not sure how I found out, but I knew it for many, many years. I always thought that it was a huge laugh on the morons who called Rush a racist. They literally had NO IDEA.
