Hundreds of Simon & Schuster employees are demanding the publishing giant not publish any books written by former Trump administration officials. The petition demanding the New York publishing conglomerate to stop treating "the Trump administration as a 'normal' chapter in American history" collected 216 internal signatures, representing approximately 14% of the company's workforce, and support from several thousand nonemployees, according to the Wall Street Journal. The petition singled out a planned two-part autobiography to be authored by former Vice President Mike Pence, which the publisher's employees alleged amounted to support for "racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, anti-Blackness, xenophobia, misogyny, ableism, islamophobia, antisemitism, and violence" in the online petition.

Editors are a dime a dozen and paid next to nothing to boot. Simon and Schuster's BOD is probably already preparing pink slips for the complaining employees as we speak - at least if they are smart they will. Nobody is going to get bent out of shape if a few publishing industry twits are fired - most people simply don't read anymore.

Mike Pence better have cashed the check already. They’ll cave, as an excuse to not “publish” a loser book (read that payoff) that they’ll have to stuff into gift bags for illegals to get rid of.
I can’t see a whole lot of people caring what he has to say.

I would dearly love to hear the CEO of one of these companies coping with the demands of their woke millenial employees say “We have our standards and protocols. If you disagree with them, please leave. Now.”
It will never happen, but I can dream..

Problem is that those right wing conservative books make money which can be used to pay off liberal writers books that don't make their multi-million advances.

Give the woke liberals 2 options: 1. If you don't like it, quit! Option #2: Figure out the percentage of Simon & Schuster's profits that come from Conservative books. Lowerer the liberals pay by the percentage of Conservative book profit so that their conscience's can be clear from earning anything from those evil books. If they don't accept the pay cut , they must voluntarily resign since they disapprove of their employers morals.

Simon and Schuster are now eunuchs, castrated by spoiled children who run the house.

Two Thoughts:
1) Who do they think would buy this book? Democrats won't support it, and he's burned his bridges with the Conservative Base. I would think the RINO market is a very niche market.
2) Why don't they do an anonymous survey of ALL their employees to get their feelings? Maybe they have a silent majority who still believe in diversity of thought and, more important, the financial power of conservative buyers.

Obviously they aren’t worried about their jobs or 401ks - they should be.

Since Simon & Shuster employees want to get rid of half their customers, they should get prepared to work for half the pay, or be unemployed, the latter the preferred outcome.
