MALIBU, California — A team of Israeli firefighters arrived Thursday in Southern California to assist local firefighters in fighting the Palisades Fire, as well as to share insights and learn from the state’s experience in battling the blaze. The delegation, including wildfire expert Shay Levy, included experts from a variety of fields, including an expert in hydraulics and an officer from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) who specializes in the use of artificial intelligence for search and rescue. The delegation landed and immediately proceeded to the fire zone, where they drove through Pacific Palisades to study the damage caused by the devastating fire.

How long until the pro terrorist Palestinian protesters show up to harass the Israeli firefighters? Will they claim that the fires are a Zionist plot for Jews to burn out the residents and take over LA as a new Jewish homeland?

I was curious about the California state fire insurance program for those who had their insurance cancelled by commercial companies. The reviews by the people with the policies are searingly bad. Horrible service, high rates, high deductibles and limited coverage seem to be common complaints. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/insurance/california_fair.html

There was “no excuse” for California not to be prepared for the wildfires engulfing Los Angeles County, Sen. Tim Sheehy (R-MT), a former aerial firefighter, explained during a Friday interview on The Alex Marlow Show with Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow. Sheehy detailed the scope of the Los Angeles wildfires, the government’s role in the disaster, and the environmental policies that make firefighting more difficult. Sheehy, a former Navy SEAL who founded the aerial fire fighting company Bridger Aerospace, explained that “the entire wildland fire community” has been sounding the alarm for years that “we are entering an era of complete unpreparedness” in fighting wildfires.

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) introduced legislation this week that would prevent states from banning rifles and/or shotguns that are legal federally. The legislation, the Second Amendment Guarantee Act (SAGA), would operate as a national preemption law, preventing states from banning firearms the federal government has not banned. Moreover, it would undo bans contained in laws like New York’s SAFE Act. Rochester First quoted Tenney. “The SAGA Act nullifies New York’s unconstitutional SAFE Act and prevents other states from enacting laws that violate the Second Amendment,” she said. “This legislation upholds our country’s founding principle of protecting the rights of law-abiding Americans, even from liberal states with anti-gun policies.”

As one of his final disgusting moves in office, Joe Biden has granted clemency to two men convicted of killing Virginia Police Officer Allen Gibson. Officer Gibson was shot and killed by Ferrone Claiborne and Terence Richardson as he confronted them during a drug deal on April 25, 1998. According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, “Upon confronting the suspects, a struggle ensued, and Officer Gibson was shot once in the abdomen with his own weapon. The round struck the edge of his bullet-proof vest. He was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his wound.” “The prosecutor struck a plea bargain with the two suspects,

One of the better aspects of seeing the Biden administration in the national rear-view mirror is the return to some sanity for our service men and women. One aspect of this lies in a bill now in consideration, sponsored by, among others, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) that promises not only reinstatement but also back pay for American servicemen and women who were discharged for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine. A pair of Republicans are introducing legislation that would offer service members who were fired over the military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate a chance to get their jobs back and receive back pay.

The incoming Trump administration is still staffing up key roles, replacing the Biden appointees with people who actually know what they're doing. Who would have thought that Stephen Colbert would have it all figured out? President Donald Trump really isn't focused on picking nominees to staff his administration, planning his transition, preparing for his inauguration, shaping up his day-one plans for the country, or any of that unimportant stuff. What he's really focused on dealing with is Colbert, his leftist Hollywood colleagues, and their small-minded hate for him. That's what he seemed to be saying in his last show this week, anyway. Colbert bemoaned how it was his last show of the "Biden administration." "It's been a good run," he reminisced in a counterfactual way.

There are plenty of 82-year-old men who are strong, vital, capable, and competent. My Dad was. Many men (and women) are. People age differently; some people age very well, remaining sharp and capable into the 80s, 90s, and even past the century mark. Joe Biden is not one of those people. Throughout his presidency, his physical and mental decline was sadly apparent, as were Democrats' attempts to hide his deterioration from the public. His appearances were carefully managed, and his "interviews" were carefully scripted, until the one unscripted event he couldn't avoid finally made the decline too obvious to ignore: His one debate with Donald Trump,

Democrats are the political equivalent of mafia bosses who basically run protection rackets. (Snip) We saw a lot of this behavior over the past few years. One of the techniques used to bully social media companies into censorship was the use of open (and private) threats to use antitrust laws to break up Meta, Twitter, Google and all the tech companies if they did not comply with demands to suppress the speech of conservatives and, frankly, anybody including dissenting Democrats. Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bennett are trying the same thing by going after people and companies that contributed to the Trump inaugural.

The US Treasury Department will start taking "extraordinary measures" next week to avoid risking a default on government debt, Secretary Janet Yellen said Friday, days before President-elect Donald Trump takes office. With the government reaching its borrowing limit, the department would start making the moves on Tuesday, the day after the inauguration, Yellen said in a letter to congressional leaders. That will mean Trump's administration has to grapple immediately with the issue of the debt ceiling. In the past, Congress has routinely voted to lift this bar, but that tool has become a contentious issue, with Republican budget hawks calling for drastic spending reductions instead.
