Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign tried to blame her and President Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan on former President Donald Trump — even though it happened seven months after he left office. The Harris-Walz campaign released a statement Friday that claimed, “Trump left the Biden-Harris Administration with zero plans for an orderly withdrawal — only a dangerous, costly mess.” (snip) The Biden administration has never held anyone accountable for the bungled withdrawal that played out on television screens across the world, and President Joe Biden and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin have said they have no regrets.

President Trump had a FLEXIBLE plan in place to withdraw, based on the situation. His plan included taking back every piece of equipment, every American, and every Afghan that helped our troops. Biden just withdrew chaotically. The same as his whole Presidency.

They ignored or did away with virtually every plan Trump ever made the day they were sworn in. No one forced them to go with their cut and run plan.

The HairSniffer/Heels-Up administration started with the Afghanistan Skedaddle disaster, and are doing their best to end it with a disaster either in Israel or Ukraine. Bookends. you know. You need two, one on each end.

How many planes/jets etc did the USA have there? Load them up with people and all the stuff. Fly in enough pilots to fly all the planes out. Certainly there are some logistics experts in the US military.

So, what you are saying is that since Trump did not tell you what to do, you had no idea how to proceed? You truly are pathetic, Kamala. You have no idea of how hard it is to be president, and I hope you never get a chance to find out.

In Illinois, they've figured out how to save the planet: They're snatching the mini-shampoo bottles off your sink at that pricey hotel you're staying at and making you use a big communal bottle instead. No more cute souvenirs of your travels for you. According to Illinois Policy, which appears to be a local think tank: The days are numbered for small shampoo bottles in Illinois hotels because of a new law signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker. Hotels with more than 50 rooms are banned from providing single-use plastic bottles of shampoo, mouthwash and other toiletries starting July 1, 2025. If a hotel has less than 50 rooms, the law takes effect on Jan. 1, 2026.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley on Friday said that Judge Juan Merchan’s decision to delay former President Donald Trump’s sentencing could be an effort to avoid boosting his campaign. Merchan had scheduled Trump’s sentencing for Sept. 18, but on Friday, he postponed the date to Nov. 26 “if necessary,” according to his order. Turley, on “America Reports,” claimed that Merchan’s rulings against Trump during his case were advantageous to his reelection bid, suggesting that maintaining the September sentencing date would have further intensified support for the former president.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney, a lifelong Republican, will vote for Kamala Harris for president, his daughter Liz Cheney said Friday. (snip) In a campaign ad for Liz Cheney as she sought a fourth term as Wyoming’s lone congressperson, Dick Cheney called Trump a “coward” for trying to “steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him.” The ad did little good for his daughter in a deep-red state that once held the Cheney family dear but is now thoroughly in Trump’s corner. By a 2-to-1 margin, Liz Cheney lost her Republican primary to Trump-endorsed attorney Harriet Hageman.
