RIP to Biden's Gaza Pier As He Chalks
Up Another Foreign Policy Disaster

Original Article

Joe Biden has logged yet another foreign policy disaster under his belt after the Pentagon announced the "Gaza pier" will be dismantled due to damage. Some press reports describe the move as "temporary," though it's questionable whether the project will ever resume after being completely torn down and towed away. This marks the latest in a string of logistical issues involving the president's prized pier. For context, the pier has been in place for less than a month, and it's already suffered multiple shutdowns related to moderate seas overtaking it. Here's the full timeline illustrating just how absurd this idea was.

BO was right about Biden. Of course Biden isn't all alone in making this mess. It takes a lot of morons to screw things up this badly. Leftists classically believe that something is "true" and then put together a solution for the "problem". They will let nothing stand in their way. When it blows up in their faces, they barely pause before coming up with another harebrained scheme, which fails, .... They never hold themselves accountable because all that matters is their good intentions. Worst of all, their intentions are usually based on a fallacy or corruption so their intentions are rarely "good". Biden and his people have raised ineptitude to an art form. They are without "pier". What is deeply disturbing is that so many people continue to support this rolling disaster.

Good. I was worried that the pier was primarily going to be used as a platform to launch a "Camp of the Saints" type invasion of 'Palestinians' into America.

A bad idea, badly executed. Sending ANY assistance to Gaza is a very, very bad idea. If they can't make it on their own....MOVE somewhere else. Choose to live in a dysfunctional, desert, terrorist run stinkhole? Fine, but I don't want to pay for it. You pay or you starve, or you move. Your choice. NO MONEY to Gaza. #2 - In this case, FUBAR is more descriptive. As for the pier, when giant pieces of interlocking steel get bent, twisted, and misaligned (as was no doubt the case when the stormy seas got hold of it) there is no "repair" short of moving to a depot-level facility and rebuilding it.

I think the Left mostly likes protesting and creating disorder. They are in their element then because they're getting noticed with a minimum of effort. Governing takes order and discipline and planning for the future, and I don't think this administration has the will to practice any of those work habits. Whether you're talking about our borders, our economy, our justice system or defense, or our relations with other governments, we always seem to be a dollar or two short. (I'm being kind)

Yesterday in Los Angeles, hordes of pro-Hamas protestors, many of them masked, descended upon one of the most Jewish neighborhoods in America and attacked a synagogue. In the ensuing battle, many Jews were bloodied. The LAPD was conspicuously absent both before and during the attack. Today, a Jewish Democrat in Los Angeles wonders what happened. If he were wise, he’d realize that the Republican party is the answer. Sadly, I’m betting he’ll still vote for Joe. Monica Showalter has written about the terrorism in Los Angeles, so I don’t need to repeat that here. What I want to focus on is one Jew’s slowly dawning realization

WASHINGTON — WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange plans to plead guilty to a conspiracy charge this week as part of a plea deal with the U.S. Justice Department that will allow him to go free after spending five years in a British prison, according to court documents. Assange was charged by criminal information — which typically signifies a plea deal — with conspiracy to obtain and disclose national defense information, the court documents say. A letter from Justice Department official Matthew McKenzie to U.S. District Judge Ramona Manglona of the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands said that Assange would appear in court

A violent protest outside a Los Angeles synagogue sparked condemnation from President Biden and others Monday and prompted new debate over what some consider escalating behavior during demonstrations over the war in Gaza. The protest began Sunday afternoon at the Adas Torah synagogue in the heavily Jewish Pico-Robertson neighborhood but eventually spilled into nearby areas over several hours with fights breaking out between pro-Palestinian demonstrators protesting a real estate event and supporters of Israel. Law enforcement sources said more than 150 people converged on the temple on West Pico Boulevard, and it took time for the Los Angeles Police Department to get enough personnel to the scene. Joe Biden’s campaign planned to bury Donald Trump in an avalanche of cash. Instead, his allies are bracing for a slugfest without the benefit of a fatter wallet, as financial reports showed Trump outraising Biden in back-to-back months, hauling in huge sums after his 34 felony convictions and erasing Biden’s longstanding financial edge. Democrats in recent days largely downplayed Trump’s new financial lead in the same way Trump’s allies had when Biden was running ahead in the money race — saying the president would have enough money to compete. But privately, several Democratic strategists and donors were reeling.

Environmental/Social/Governance (ESG) investing is one of the most repellent fads of recent years. Happily, the Telegraph reports that a decisive turning point may have been reached: “How the ‘woke capitalist’ gravy train came to a juddering halt.” First, some history: While the acronym only rose to prominence in the City in the last five years, ESG has been around for far longer. The term was first coined in 2005 in a UN report called “Who Cares Wins”, which argued that companies where bosses behaved ethically would deliver better returns for shareholders. That could be true, although I can’t imagine how you could demonstrate it empirically.

Governor Ron DeSantis’ crackdown on illegal immigrants seems to be paying off in more ways than one, according to a recent report. The governor’s multi-pronged effort to reduce illegal immigration in Florida has resulted in a significant reduction in the number of taxpayer dollars going to fund healthcare for those residing in the country illegally. The governor signed a law last year requiring hospitals that accept Medicaid to ask patients about their legal immigration status when they seek treatment. The legislation does not compel patients to answer the question, but immigrant rights groups argued that it would discourage them from receiving medical attention funded by the government.

It seems everything in politics is “the end of democracy.” Luntz claimed that personal invectives and insults are too debasing and, apparently, a sign of the end of democracy. For some reason, high-speed rail is a hot-button issue for liberals and a frequent point of criticism from Chinese communist propaganda and Europeans when they attack the U.S. “How can you call yourself a developed country when you don’t have high-speed rail?” they ask. The reality is that high-speed rail would be more expensive and less efficient than our current travel infrastructure. High-speed rail works in Europe and China because of government subsidies, higher taxes, and because people typically travel shorter distances and have fewer travel options. The U.S. has more cars per capita, more highways, more airports, and more railroads than China or the EU. Additionally, Americans prefer to drive
