For years, there have been “rumors” that Barack Obama is running the show for Joe Biden from behind the scenes.
Obama once said in a 2020 interview that he would be fine with running an election from his basement with an earpiece in his ear:
Barack Obama: “I used to say, if, if I could make an arrangement where I had a stand-in, a front man, a front woman and they had an earpiece in and I was in the basement in my sweats … I’d be fine with that.”
Obama made the appearance on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert

A healthy dose of schadenfreude was served up on Sunday after pro-Hamas protesters blocked a "pride" parade in Philadelphia, PA.
Videos have emerged showing the two sides meeting head-on, with some holding signs reading "no pride in genocide." Half-naked men in bondage gear can be seen trying to escort the parade around the blockade. There appeared to be some pushing and shoving as well.
As the doctor in that "Godzilla" film from 2014 once said, "Let them fight." [Videos]
Let me start with the obvious question. What is with participants in these "pride" parades and their constant need to walk around in their underwear?

We saw Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler leading that train wreck of a campaign move outside the Trump trial in Manhattan with actor Robert De Niro. Whoever thought that up really should be canned for such a bad move because it immediately confirmed the political nature of the trial and how they were trying to use it in the election. It blew up all kinds of norms in the process.
You had them put De Niro out there ranting and raving about how former President Donald Trump wanted to destroy New York and the country and calling Trump supporters -- millions of Americans -- "clowns."

Riverside County, California, has historically been a pretty moderate-to-conservative place, historically speaking; it was the only Southern California county to vote to recall the impeccably coiffed Governor Gavin Newsom in 2021. The county's political party registration is 40.49 percent Democrat to 31.31 percent Republican, with the balance independent or "other parties." The county contains parts of six congressional districts, evenly split between Democrats and Republicans.
So, Riverside County is not really a far-right or far-left locale. In presidential elections, voters tended to lean Republican until 2008, after which it went for Democrats.
This year may be different if the elected county sheriff, Chad Bianco, is any indicator.

Your typical liberal, progressive, Democrat, Socialist, Marxist -- or whatever they're calling themselves lately -- will hear about the May 30th verdict and be pleased with the outcome. After all, Donald Trump obviously must be guilty!
Look No Further
Most will look no further than a headline and a couple of paragraphs. They don't care that the case was snatched out of the statute of limitations receptacle. They don't care that it was bumped from a misdemeanor up to a felony, or that the judge was so blatantly one-sided that on appeal Trump will have this conviction overturned.
Liberals represent the mainstream media’s primary targets

It’s the question I’m most asked.
“Who do you think it will be?”
I’ve asked former members of the first Trump administration who they think President Trump might want to balance out the ticket.
Both questions are silly because no one will be voting on the VP selection of President Trump. Donald Trump is the top of the ticket, his policies, leadership, and public sacrifice for the country he loves are what drives his support and poll numbers to higher and higher levels.
But Vice Presidents do matter.
If Joe Biden remains the Democrat nominee there will be people who vote against his ticket if Kamala Harris is still attached.

When the "guilty" verdict for former and potentially future President Donald Trump came down on Thursday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was among several top Republican senators who took to social media to share his true outrage over such a "miscarriage of justice." He also previewed the special edition of his podcast, "The Verdict," which he released later that night. A major theme throughout the episode was what a "travesty" the outcome was, and how it amounts to "a political hit job" and "the worst instance of election interference our country's ever seen," among other things.

The Donald Trump campaign has raised a staggering $200 million since the former president was found guilty of 34 felonies last Thursday, his son Eric Trump said Sunday.
Eric, who is married to The Republican National Committee (RNC) Co-Chair Lara Trump, said she told him the figure was comprised of over $70 million in small donor fundraising in the three days since his father was found guilty of 34 felonies related to falsifying business records.

The Trump Manhattan trial is a historic moment in our nation’s history. For those who were wondering (and possibly hoping) that Biden was “just a senile old man”, that facade has now fallen.
Even people who don’t support Trump see this as blatant election interference. Even Mike Pence, the former fallen-from-grace Vice President, announced his disapproval of the court’s decision.
"The conviction of former President Trump on politically motivated charges is an outrage and disservice to the nation," Pence told Fox News. "No one is above the law, but our courts must not become a tool to be used against political opponents . . . To millions of Americans,

As a boy growing up, I was taught that there are certain rules one adhered to during a physical fight with another boy. The first rule was that you and your friends never team up against a solitary enemy. That's what gangbangers do. (Snip) After witnessing the banana republic court spectacle in New York City this week, I ask our elected Republicans... have you seen enough? Are you going to continue lobbing limpwristed slaps at your enemy's shoulder as they continue to kick you below the belt? Are you still hiding behind the whole "civility" façade, which the Left abandoned decades ago?

Former New York Rep. Lee Zeldin reacted to the Trump verdict this week and released a statement reminding people who the real threat to democracy is in this case. It’s Joe Biden and the Democrats.
Zeldin points out what pretty much everyone knows. That Alvin Bragg ran on ‘getting’ Trump for something, anything really.
Zeldin published his statement on Twitter. [Tweet]
Townhall has transcribed parts of the copy:
This case should have never been brought forward in the first place. This political persecution, designed to interfere with the 2024 election, was a disgusting abuse and weaponization of the criminal justice system. This ruling is obviously going to be overturned on appeal,

Former Democrat presidential primary candidate Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) is pressing New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) to pardon former President Donald Trump because “making him a martyr” would result in an “electoral boost.”
“Donald Trump is a serial liar, cheater, and philanderer, a six-time declarer of corporate bankruptcy, an instigator of insurrection, and a convicted felon who thrives on portraying himself as a victim,” Phillips said in a Friday X post following Trump’s conviction in his hush money trial.
“@GovKathyHochul should pardon him for the good of the country,” the congressman argued. [Tweet]
“You think pardoning is stupid?” he posed in a follow-up post on Saturday.
Comments:
Absolutely agree.
