Without Offsets

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) will bring a new Israel aid bill to the floor without spending cuts or offsets. The plan, announced in a Saturday letter to his colleagues, is a reversal from Johnson’s earlier position. Last year, in the early days of Johnson’s speakership, the House passed a $14.3 trillion bill to aid to Israel in its war against Hamas. That bill, which was paid for with an equal reduction in funding for the IRS, has not been brought up by the Senate. Yet the Senate appears ready to consider a broader aid package this year with tens of million in aid to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan that includes

$14.3 TRILLION? Somebody can't get their zeroes straight. You could buy Hamas and the palestinians another planet for that and build the rocket ship to get them there.

Johnson will move the bill with Democrat votes, like he always intended. I would like to see him removed from the Speakership. Throw them out until we get a good one.

Former President Donald Trump issued an all-caps message praising King Charles after his shock cancer diagnosis, sending prayers for a speedy recovery to someone he 'got to know well.' Trump's was just one of the many acknowledgements that came in following the news that the King, 75, has begun treatment for an unidentified former of cancer, with President Biden saying he plans to call the King soon. King Charles, whose whose coronation was in May, was receiving treatment for an enlarged prostate when physicians identified an issue of concern that turned out to be cancer, according to Buckingham Palace

At least three people have died in the historic flooding battering California, as multi-million-dollar mansions are trashed by rivers of flowing mud and boulders - while forecasters predict more rain is still to come. The Pineapple Express, a weather system lingering over much of the Golden State, is causing chaos over several regions including the star-studded Beverly Hills, Malibu and Montecito neighborhoods. The severe weather system has killed three Californians so far and 38 million people remain under flood alerts, as the National Weather Service forecasts additional rainfall of up to six inches into Tuesday.

Chicago’s “progressive” Mayor Brandon Johnson blew up on a reporter on Monday when he was asked if he plans to visit the U.S. southern border, and he insisted that he does not have time because he is busy “with a black wife raising three black children on the west side of the city of Chicago.” Johnson notoriously canceled his planned and announced trip to the border in October, and since then, he has claimed he still intends to make the trip to see the mess down there with his own eyes. Instead of going himself as he had planned to, the mayor sent Beatriz Ponce de Leon, the deputy mayor

President Joe Biden on Monday laughed off former President Donald Trump's challenge to immediately have presidential debates. Biden was asked about Trump's fresh comments after making a stop at No. 1 Boba Tea in Las Vegas, wrapping up a two-state trip to California and Nevada. The president snarked that Trump should want to debate him because 'he's got nothing else to do.' If I were him I would want to debate me too,' Biden said. Trump appeared earlier Monday on the Dan Bongino Show and told the podcaster and former Fox News host that he was 'officially' calling for there to be presidential debates

One of the hallmarks of Joe Biden's speeches is the constant misleading or outright false remarks about the economy. I don't think the American people are buying it, given his approval on the economy is usually his lowest number in the polls. Either that or the number of people who think he's mentally capable. Those tend to be low in virtually every poll. But among his common claims are that he created "15 million brand new jobs." That is nonsense, it's such a huge number because it's people returning from the economy being locked down, not "brand new jobs." It has nothing at all to do with Joe Biden or

What Excites Biden? Things are becoming so strange, so surreal, so nihilistic in contemporary America that the chaos can only be deliberate. Chance, incompetence, and accident could not alone explain the series of disasters we now daily witness that are nearly destroying the country. When the ailing and non-compos-mentis president now speaks, he rarely becomes excited about Iranian or terrorist provocations. Biden seems restrained even at Russia’s outlawry in Ukraine. The atrocities of Hamas now earn only measured objections from Biden. He does not seem too angered by the collapse of the border. Nor do the deaths of 100,000 Americans to imported fentanyl earn a loud trademark Biden scream. No, what

A law professor at Indiana University, Magliocca emailed with another professor, who was writing a book about overlooked parts of the Constitution’s 14th Amendment.
