Sen. Tommy Tuberville said Tuesday he had flagged former CIA Director Michael Hayden’s social media suggestion about removing Tuberville from the human race to Capitol police, accusing the former chief spook of calling for a “politically motivated assassination.”
“I expect that [Capitol Police] will once again do an excellent job protecting members of Congress and bringing criminals to justice,” Tuberville (R-Ala.) said in a blistering statement.
Hayden was responding Monday night to a post on X, formerly Twitter, venting frustration with Tuberville’s ongoing Senate hold on bulk votes for military promotions, which has held up the confirmation of at least 300 nominees put forward by President Biden for various posts.

The Biden administration’s former special envoy to Iran, who was placed on leave earlier this year for allegedly mishandling classified material, should face “extensive scrutiny” for his “permissive” stance toward the Tehran regime after it aided Hamas and Hezbollah in carrying out terrorist attacks against Israel, critics said Monday.
“Rob Malley deserves extensive scrutiny — yesterday, today and tomorrow,” Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) told The Post after the Wall Street Journal reported that officers of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps planned and signed off on this weekend’s atrocity that killed at least 900.
“These reports could not be more concerning,

It was wholly predictable that protestors would take to the streets to sing the praises of Hamas under the guise of supporting Palestine. We expected the young, ignorant, and indoctrinated, both on and off campuses, to begin a combination victory dance/rally. Of course, as the Squad’s narrative broke down and Biden’s handlers made fools of themselves trying to address the matter, the media showed up, saluted, and reported for duty.
National Review reported on the interoffice emails at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that instructed its journalists not to refer to the Hamas members who attacked innocent civilians as “terrorists.” The organization StopAntisemtism had copies of the emails

As expected, there have been a lot of truly terrible takes shared about the recent Palestinian invasion of Israel. Despite shocking videos showing women and children being tortured and murdered in the streets, members of the Democrat "squad," including Rep. Ilhan Omar, still managed to draw a moral equivalency and demand a ceasefire that it just so happens would save Hamas. What a coincidence, right?
But while those statements weren't ambiguous, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's post on the matter left people completely confused as well as angry. Really, can someone tell me what the heck this is?

One week before Hamas launched a surprise attack in Israel, a top aide to President Joe Biden touted a relative calm in the Middle East.
“The Middle East region is quieter today than it has been in two decades,” said U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, according to The Atlantic. He went on to stress that “challenges remain,” citing Iran’s nuclear weapons program and “tensions” between Israel and the Palestinians, but added, “the amount of time I have to spend on crisis and conflict in the Middle East today compared to any of my predecessors going back to 9/11 is significantly reduced.”

Washington Post blogger Jennifer Rubin took some serious backlash on Saturday after she suggested in an X post that the GOP was somehow responsible for creating the conditions that led to Hamas’ unprovoked attack on Israel.
Rubin appeared to be lashing out at Republicans, many of whom had suggested that President Joe Biden’s failures in foreign policy — particularly the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 and the recent deal freeing up $6 billion in Iranian oil money — had ultimately led to the attack on Israel, a close ally.
“How about this: With US House in chaos and US military promotions on hold, Hamas struck. Republicans’ weakness invites terror,” Rubin posted.

As the world reacted Saturday to the news of Hamas’ unprovoked attack on Israel, a video clip of the late comedian Joan Rivers began circulating on social media.
In the clip, which entertainment site TMZ first aired just weeks prior to Rivers’ death in 2014, the legendary comic delivered a perfect summary of the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians — along with an analogy comparing them to New York and New Jersey. [Video]
TMZ approached Rivers in late July, two weeks into what would turn out to be 50 days of hostilities between the Israelis and the Palestinians,

Firebrand conservative commentator Candace Owens has gone viral again, this time for explaining to a leftist why accepting transgender people’s delusions isn’t a wise idea.
Appearing at a Turning Point USA event this week at the University of Albany, she was asked what she thinks about transgender students at the school feeling “unsafe” because of her frank and honest rhetoric about biological sex.
Her reply was brutally honest and amazing, critics say.
Listen: [video]
“The idea that if somebody looks at a man and calls them a man, that they’re suddenly unsafe because they’ve created a false reality in their own head — yeah, I don’t abide by that,” she began.

Former film director and current Twitter/X activist Rob Reiner is sweating blood over the prospect of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. running as a third-party presidential candidate.
“Not exaggerating when I say that a vote for any 3rd party candidate will put Trump back in the WH and destroy 247 years of Self Rule,” he tweeted on X Thursday.
“Not exaggerating” about the end of “self-rule.”
A better way to put it is that Reiner is panicking like a 14-year-old girl.
Let me see if I got this right… Reiner’s party wants to pack the Supreme Court with Nazis who will overturn every law protecting free speech and self-defense.

Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) said Friday on CNN’s “The Lead” that she believed Rep. Jim Jorden (R-OH) was “heavily involved” in what she deemed a “plot” on January 6, 2021.
On Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), commentator Adam Kinzinger said, “He is a true believer, but he truly believes that the Democrats, or the left, is an enemy of America, and he will do anything even extra constitutionally to defeat them.”
Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Congresswoman Lofgren, you just heard Congressman Kinzinger’s view of what Jim Jordan thinks about the left. That is you? What do you think?”
Lofgren said, “It is not true.

Police appear to not know why carjackings in Washington, DC, dramatically increased 111 percent in the first ten months of 2023 compared to the same time period in 2022, even though authorities refused to prosecute 67 percent of those arrested last year.
A total of 760 carjackings occurred in the first ten months of 2023 in the nation’s capital, police statistics show. During the same time period in 2022, 360 carjackings occurred.
The number of carjacking in 2023 is higher than in 2018, 2019, and 2020 combined.
Carjackings occur nearly everywhere in the District. The hot spots are near the H Street Corridor and across the Anacostia River bordering Maryland, police data shows.

The current conflict between Israel and Hamas has brought to the forefront a myriad of issues and even more questions. The unsettling images on the ground reveal that these hostilities could easily become more bloody. As more information emerges, this situation could also highlight the implications of military decisions made by the U.S. government, namely the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
When President Joe Biden decided to remove U.S. troops from Afghanistan in 2021, it was hailed as being the right decision. However, the execution of the withdrawal left much to be desired, to say the least. Indeed, the disaster resulted in even more carnage and the death of American troops.
