Florida Governor and 2024 GOP presidential contender Ron DeSantis has released his plan to change the military from a Petrie dish for D+ Sociology majors back into the Number One fighting force in the world. His campaign has posted his Military Reform Plan titled “Ron DeSantis’ Plan for a “Mission First” Military,” and it is well worth the read. The plan is divided into four major sections; each focused on addressing one of the chronic problems that infected the US military sometime during the Clinton regime. Rip Political Agendas Out of Our Military This section has two major themes. First, get rid of the Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity infrastructure. Second,

# 3, this Floridian will tell you that you don't know what you're talking about. The insurance situation arose from a number of factors beyond any governor's control. As to DeSantis' relationship with Trump, failure to render slavish allegiance to PDJT does not amount in any way shape or form to betrayal. This Floridian is proud of Governor DeSantis and considers him a worthy candidate for the GOP nomination. He may or may not win it, but he is doing the party a service by forcing Trump to work for it.

The equal opportunity and inclusion BS has been going on in the military at least since I was a kid growing up. There were several things a white person dare not do: Criticize a black person for any reason over any type of behavior. Indicate in any way that a mixed marriage is anything other than a blessed imperative from God. Defend yourself against an attack from a black person. Write an annual appraisal on a black person that is any less than 4 star perfect unless there is enough evidence for a court martial. Later those rules were extended to women, gays and trannies. Failure to comply is a career ender.

#6, you might be overestimating the governor’s effect on President Trump’s campaign. He doesn’t need Ron DeSantis to “work for it.” Donald Trump is a relentless hard worker all on his own, and would work just as hard with or without the governor. However, I will give you that Ron DeSantis has done a good job in FL, at least until he started campaigning. Unfortunately, he fell in with the wrong crowd.

Anyone-but-Trumpers in 2016 were bound to go for RDS this time around. Unaware that some of us were around then and have working memories. The ringleader has disappeared - all three of her - but others remain. There is no way that a man who “did a good job in Florida” will walk into the Oval Office and be the remarkable president that Donald John Trump was. No matter how much RDS is urged to adopt PDJT’s message, he will never ever be President Trump. Had he cooled his impatience (and his wife’s?) he might have ended up a potential heir apparent in 2028. Now he is being used by those who fear Trump and his political career may well end n 2024.

# 14 (Earlybird), if you are suggesting that I was an "Anyone but Trumper" in 2016 you are mistaken. In fact, I cancelled my 22-year subscription to National Review on account of their "Never Trump" stance. Please understand this: there are some folks out here who just do not believe that PDJT can win another national election How good a president he was and how god-awful Biden has been will not be determining factors, as illogical as that is. Those of us who now lean toward other candidates will be there for Trump if he is nominated. The real question is, will those on this board who seem to be saying "Trump or Bust!" be there to help stop the DemonRat candidate if their now-favored man fails to win the nomination? Or will they go the way that National Review did in 2015-16? And # 13 - with due respect, you may be nipping too much from the Sundance hooch cabinet. If DeSantis has fallen in with the "wrong crowd" it is not evident in his campaigning or policy advocacy.

I haven’t seen the Barbie movie but I’ve read several reviews coming from different perspectives which make me think I may need to rent it eventually. My expectation for this were about as low as they could be and the reviews I’ve seen from conservatives have suggested it lives up to those expectations. But even the conservative critics seem to have been surprised by just how ambitious this film is. It’s clearly trying to say something though there’s disagreement over exactly what the message is. For instance, the Critical Drinker opened his review by praising the marketing team that sold this as a bland

The Biden administration was dealt a major blow in its efforts to control the ongoing border crisis on Tuesday when a federal judge blocked a rule introduced in May that makes migrants ineligible for asylum if they have entered illegally and failed to take advantage of expanded lawful pathways set up by the federal government. Judge Jon Tigar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California blocked the Circumvention of Lawful Pathways rule in response to a lawsuit from a coalition of left-wing immigration groups, which claimed the rule was similar to a Trump-era transit ban that was similarly blocked. He found the rule is "both

We have only followed where the information has taken us, but this is rising to the level of impeachment inquiry, which provides Congress the strongest power

Am I insane to think that one of the key foundations of any civilization is the ability to communicate clearly? A shared language and history matter. Politics, science, economics, family life, education…they all rest on our ability to find common ground in communication. Without language, all we can do is point and grunt. Precision in language is especially important in things like science and law. And the current assault on our language is particularly troubling and acute in both these areas. What you can say and how you can say things are being circumscribed, and the very meaning of terms we all used to understand are being altered beyond recognition.
