Can Pakistan face down a growing Taliban insurgency?

Original Article

After the Taliban toppled Afghanistan's government in August 2021, authorities in neighboring Pakistan warned that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Taliban's Pakistani allies, would be emboldened in their yearslong rebellion against the government. Throughout 2022, militants stepped up attacks throughout Pakistan, with tensions escalating in November after the TTP called off a fragile cease-fire with the Pakistani government and ordered their fighters to carry out attacks "wherever you can in the entire country."

They've been harboring these animals for decades, Now they have to deal with them. Pakistan has nukes. That would take care of an insurgency.

If the Taliban uses the US weapons we gave them when we left the base, they can win and take their nukes. Thanks idiot Joe!

Given biden the cheater's August 2021 surrender and bugout in Afghanistan including the $86 billion in US artillery systems, bullets, and missile systems that were donated to the tolybon, no, Pokiston cannot withstand a tolybon insurgency. It's all but over. Just we wait until the tolybon gets a hold of pokiston's nukes.

What we have here is the Taliban thesis, the Pakistan government antithesis and an eventual radical Muslim synthesis. Philosophy 101...class dismissed.

The word “authenticity” is having a moment. In the context of product marketing and prominent consumer brands, one sees countless references to the criticality of purpose-driven marketing and the necessity of brands being perceived as authentic to garner the loyalty of (and dollars spent by) Gen Zers and younger millennials. So it is with political marketing. Whether on behalf of political parties, campaigns, or specific candidates, political advertising and retail campaigning are imbued with messages reinforcing the relatability of the “product” — of which authenticity forms a considerable part.

The FBI search of President Joe Biden's vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Wednesday, continues the search for classified material in various homes and work spaces used by the president and his family in the past decade. What is surprising about Wednesday's search is not the fact that a sitting president has now been subject to two FBI searches of his residences, but the fact that this search has come roughly three months after the first discovery of documents in a closet in Washington.

Rep. Adam B. Schiff promoted himself as a fighter against lies and corruption that can bring down democracy when he announced his bid to become the next U.S. senator from California. “I’ve always believed that right matters, that the truth matters,” Mr. Schiff said in a video launching his campaign. Yet Mr. Schiff brings into the race his own trail of distortion and outright lies that critics say undercut the democratic process. He has refused to acknowledge most of the mistruths, even when faced with overwhelming evidence.

A group of Christians is pushing back against SatanCon 2023, an event scheduled to take place in downtown Boston that is being touted by The Satanic Temple as the "largest satanic gathering in history." Detractors say the temple is "using the supernatural" to manipulate people, though it bills itself as a nontheistic group that does not believe in the supernatural. "We've been tracking these folks for a couple years now," Dave Kubal, CEO of Intercessors for America, told Fox News Digital. His organization of "half a million prayer warriors" takes a three-pronged approach to resisting and exposing The Satanic Temple with "news, prayer and action."

The House on Tuesday ignored opposition from President Biden and voted to end the public health emergency related to COVID-19, and won some support from House Democrats on a second bill that would end the government’s requirement that federal health care workers must be vaccinated against COVID.The two bills – the Pandemic is Over Act and the Freedom for Health Care Workers Act – were planned by Republicans last week, and late Monday, the White House announced that it will terminate the national COVID emergency on May 11. The White House also announced its opposition to the two bills up today. But Republicans pressed ahead anyway, and easily passed both

As usual, Elon Musk cut to the chase with a tweet that’s both funny and accurate: “The ‘Hamilton 68’ dashboard was a high level scam to falsely accuse Russian influence behind everything. Their entire opaque system was a fraud, and virtually every media outlet fell for it. Everyone from NYT to Mother Jones should post a correction:” Pretty good, isn’t it? And do note the little rainbow in the background for the the sexually exotic. Musk’s tweet was in response to the revelation last week (hat tip to the great Matt Taibbi for ferreting through the garbage to retrieve it) that a shadowy group called “Hamilton 68” had been doing exactly

Last spring, the American system of government suffered a grievous blow when someone leaked the draft Supreme Court opinion that would ultimately prevail in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, overturning the infamous Roe v. Wade abortion precedent. The brazen act threatened the internal deliberative process on which the Court relies for its day-to-day functioning and spurred illegal protests outside the homes of justices. Those protests attempted to cow the justices into deciding Dobbs the way the pro-abortion mob wanted, culminating in an assassination plot against Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The damage done to the Court as an institution was incalculable, and perhaps irrevocable.

A handful of Republicans could save Rep. Ilhan Omar’s, D-Minn., seat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee as Speaker Kevin McCarthy tries to fulfill his promise to eject her over what he described as antisemitic remarks. McCarthy is meeting with holdouts Monday in an effort to persuade them to vote for his resolution to give Omar the boot over her repeated comments against Israel that she has since apologized for. Last week, McCarthy unilaterally removed Reps. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., from the House Intelligence Committee, a select committee, citing national security concerns.

Next week, President Joe Biden will address Congress on the state of the union , as the Constitution dictates. He ought to take an honest look at the country and the many problems it faces — problems his administration has either created or worsened. Over the next week, the Washington Examiner will report on a few of the important problems plaguing the country and how they are affecting the public every day. The most glaring crisis our country faces today is at the southern border , where hundreds of thousands of immigrants are crossing into the country illegally every month, overwhelming immigration officials and border towns.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., tore into his Democratic rivals and Republicans who helped pass the omnibus package, saying President Biden appears to believe there is not a cent of waste in current government spending. On "Life, Liberty & Levin," host Mark Levin asked McCarthy whether the Democrats' playbook for fending off conservative Republicans' calls for budget cuts is to add hundreds of billions of dollars in new debt, then accuse the GOP of trying to shut down the government when they advocate for clawing back some of the new spending. "That's exactly the trick," McCarthy said. "But you've got to think about too, who are the senators who

On Christmas Eve, members of Shenzhen Holy Reformed Church, who fled China several years ago, had their celebrations abruptly cut short. The congregation had initially sought refuge in South Korea, but was denied a haven there after three years of immigration court proceedings. The next port of call was Thailand, which they hoped would be a peaceful, if temporary, home before being granted sanctuary in the United States. But on December 24, the landlord for the apartments where the 64 church members – roughly half adults and half children – were staying suddenly informed them that Thai police had demanded copies of all their passports, IDs, and visas.

The Ivy League school’s Undergraduate Honor Code lays out standards for student conduct that all undergraduate students must abide by and prohibits students from plagiarizing or cheating, according to its website.
