Former secretary of state Mike Pompeo said Tuesday that his own decision about whether to run for president in 2024 will not be influenced by whether or not former president Trump chooses to run. “We’re trying to think our way though, figuring out what’s next for us,” Pompeo told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt. “But what happens today or tomorrow, what some other person decides won’t have any impact on that [decision].” Trump said last week that he will make a “very big announcement” on November 15 at Mar-a-Lago. He is expected to announce his 2024 presidential bid. However, support for the former president

Pompeo has zero national following, and no charisma. He should hope Trump wins, and hope for a job, because he is not getting one otherwise.

These politicians and their consultants who are always worried about the "narrative" and the "optics" of any situation, just can't comprehend that so much of Trump's popularity is due to the fact that he says he is going to do something, and then he DOES it. Too many of our public servants just want to get into public service so they can primp and preen, serve on some committee that accomplishes nothing, and sit on their butts, making all kinds of money off of the public trough. I just talked to someone who told me he can understand why the people of Pennsylvania chose to vote for Fetterman, and just because he has had a stroke that it does not mean his thinking processes are effected in any way, and just because Oz is a cardiovascular surgeon, it does not mean that he is smart. Of course, the young man did not know that Fetterman sponged off his parents until he was 50 and was mayor of a town in Pennsylvania that benefited in no way from his time in office. We are doomed!

More coordinated crap. They fear DJT and his support therefore the full court press trying to demean and dispirit. FTA: "However, support for the former president appears to be dwindling after a promised red wave failed to materialize on Election Day." Only in the eyes of the morons who believe these lies and nonsense. Just listened to Jeremy Slate and Raheem Kassam. What percentage of candidates that Obozo supported the last 2 cycles got voted in? 50% lol. Compare that to DJT's percentage. Don't believe the Never Trump ginned up chorus.

What an accomplished team they were for America! Pompeo was half of that effective team and we need to remember that as he is man of character, a wise & faithful patriot who keeps his oaths. He would certainly be a President America could be proud of, ...for a change.

We have to start thinking outside the box. IMO Trump could not win a national election and Governor Ron, if he has good sense (and I think he does) will decline to run for 2024. Mike Pompeo is a good man, and there is no single superhero who can defeat the Deep State. He deserves serious consideration if he decides to enter the 2024 contest. (And with the "white wall" of mail-in ballots in key states, will it be possible for any GOP candidate to get to 270 EV's.?)

Pompeo was loved and respected here......until he challenges dear leader. I want to hear the plans for the future. Not relitigate the past. So, bring on the primary challenges and let's see who comes out on top. Presidents work for US. We don't owe them anything.

Sec Pompeo is an outstanding statesman in a technical capacity, but he does not have the charisma and personality of a strong leader that can relate to people on a personal level. Same goes with Governor DeSantis with his current level of experience. Contrast a Trump rally against a Pompeo or DeSantis rally — who will draw and engage a crowd for two hours in a driving rain or freezing cold snow? America needs a dynamic leader right now and President Trump is the only entity with the strength, bearing and cunning to hold the attention of the majority of Americans. To think otherwise is selling America short.

Thing is, # 10, that PDJT repels as many people as he attracts. It's very unfair, but the relentless attacks by the Democrat/Media/BigTech Complex have taken their toll. Trump's fired-up voter base is just not enough to carry a national election. Just MO, of course.

There is nothing funnier than watching leftist Punchinellos beclown themselves over the latest “We’ve got Trump NOW!” hijinks. Remember when the FBI raided Trump’s home supposedly looking for “nuclear secrets” a few months back? Guess how that turned out? I’ll let the quislings at the Washinton Post spell it out: Federal agents and prosecutors have come to believe former president Donald Trump’s motive for allegedly taking and keeping classified documents was largely his ego and a desire to hold on to the materials as trophies or mementos, according to people familiar with the matter. In other words, Trump was keeping souvenirs

When asked about the potential “Civil War” brewing in the GOP, with people supposedly choosing between Trump and DeSantis, the governor dismissed the speculation.

She also has asked state authorities to assist with the probe. Ogg confirmed the investigation, first reported by the New York Times, in a Wednesday statement to Houston Public Media. She made her request for assistance in a Monday email to the Texas Rangers, saying her office had received a referral from the Texas Secretary of State’s Office about “alleged irregularities” that “potentially may include criminal conduct”

Sacramento, Calif. — California not long ago was reveling in a record budget surplus. Now the Legislature’s fiscal analysts are projecting a $25 billion deficit next fiscal year as tax revenues decline. The nonpartisan agency on Wednesday put the Capitol on alert by recommending state lawmakers cut spending when they reconvene in January — and even hold back some already-budgeted funding in order to avoid the shortfall. The starker outlook poses a new set of challenges for Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom after years of flush budgets buoyed by a booming stock market and thriving tech sector. And advocates who scored massive victories over two years of skyrocketing surpluses are now worried

While most states have long finished their vote counting outside of the normal processing of absentee ballots, states like Colorado and Arizona are in the midst of “curing” periods that have prolonged election day into what now feels like election month. Maricopa County took center stage this cycle after needing over a week to count its ballots. All of Nevada’s major races were finally called by the weekend, but things were a cluster there as well. Of course, California is technically the worst but tends to get more of a pass because it’s not a toss-up state. Still,

The Senate on Wednesday cleared a key procedural hurdle toward historic passage of the bipartisan bill to protect same-sex and interracial marriage, voting 62-37 to break a filibuster. There could be additional votes before final passage, but Wednesday's successful test vote signals the bill is on a glide path to succeed, a remarkable turn of events given how contentious the issue of same-sex marriage was just a few years ago. While the bill would not set a national requirement that all states must legalize same-sex marriage, it would require individual states to recognize another state's legal marriage. So, in the event the Supreme Court might overturn its 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges decision
