Barack and Michelle Obama's multiyear deal with Amazon's podcast platform Audible is worth at least $20million, experts have claimed.
The couple will have to contribute two shows and appear in up to eight episodes each, the industry insiders said.
The move will give the former first lady the scope to make less personal appearances than what was wanted under their former partnership with Spotify, the sources said.
Audible said the pair plan to use their new platform to 'tell stories that elevate diverse voices and and experiences'.
The Obamas cut ties with Spotify after reportedly clashing with the streaming giant over exclusivity and how much they were expected to appear in episodes.

...and that, students, is how you launder money so you may claim it as a legitimate salary. OK, read chapter 3 for tomorrow, "Selling 'Art'". The test Friday will cover the first three chapters: "Charities for You and Yours", "The 'Book Deal' Doesn't Mean Anyone Has to Buy Your Books", and "Hunting for Profit in Art".

Obama, money, influence, blah, blah, blah... Paying them to produce a bunch of liberal tripe and make sure that their daughters continue to have jobs in LA writing/working in Hollywood. I have no interest in anything these two overpaid, overhyped people have to say.

Democrats are the party of and for the rich, and especially the ultra rich, as IRS data clearly shows. They are also a criminal enterprise, and something will be expected from the Obamas as their programs will not be listened to.

Twenty million is pocket change to Amazon. It basically amounts to a rounding error. However, that Amazon thinks there is a market for these grifters to pay them 20 mill tells me the lack of intelligence isn't a hurdle to upper management positions at Amazon.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I seem to remember that Spotify dumped them, not the other way around.
I have an Audible account and have enjoyed listening to books while doing other activities and on long trips in the car. That account gets canceled today.

Graft and money laundering is so much more elegant these days. Instead of accepting an envelope stuffed with cash, you get to be a "content creator," or sometimes even a celebrated "modern artist."

Why? I don't see either of them running for office again and their endorsements haven't exactly won elections. Amazon (Bezos) has money to lose and rest assured ANYTHING these two do will lose money. But as an Amazon shareholder I am po'ed that MY money is being squandered to satisfy Bezos dream of being politically important.

They will both have to show to do work and that is something they are not used to be doing. Didn’t they lose their last gig because they did not show up to work? He was the laziest president in modern history. Valerie Jarrett did the heavy lifting and ran the presidency! Plus their accomplishments are made up as lies , half truths and wishful thinking

The first former President to monetize the office was Dollar Bill Clinton.
George W. Bush did not.
The Kenyan Klown did.
Donald Trump did not.
And for the first time, a sitting president is monetizing the office, along with the rest of his Crime Family. Foreign policy, for the first time ever, is for sale.
And if the Biden Crime Family gets away with this, the United States, and the presidency, are changed forever.

Lazy, marxist grifters. Guess this knocks her out of the presidential race, unless she decrees a maximum of 8 personal appearances during her/his reign.
“The couple will have to contribute two shows and appear in up to eight episodes each.”
“The move will give the former first lady the scope to make less personal appearances than what was wanted under their former partnership with Spotify.”
“The Obamas cut ties with Spotify after reportedly clashing with the streaming giant over exclusivity and how much they were expected to appear in episodes.”
“The deal should cost Audible just north of 20 million and the Obama's will need to contribute two shows with an estimated appearance cap of 8 episodes each for Barack and Michelle.”
“Michelle wanted less personal appearances, and she got that with Audible, a choice which inflamed Spotify and led to her and Barack's deal going bust without the company resigning the duo.”
