Attorney General Merrick Garland has ordered the U.S. Marshals Service to ensure the safety of Supreme Court justices amid protests sparked by a leaked draft opinion that would overturn Roe vs. Wade.
“The Attorney General directed the U.S. Marshals Service to help ensure the Justices’ safety by providing additional support to the Marshal of the Supreme Court and Supreme Court Police,” the Justice Department said in a press release Wednesday.
The statement did not add further details about the security measures, noting that Garland “continues to be briefed on security matters related to the Supreme Court and Supreme Court Justices.”

How about he directs the U.S. Marshals to arrest the people breaking the law by protesting in front of the Justices' homes?

Stop the insurrection against the judicial branch. And explain to the Delaware Doofus that the House and the Senate are not two separate branches.

So, what is the DOJ going to do about all these baby butchers trying to intimidate SCOTUS justices? How about arresting them for breaking the law?

I'd advise the Conservative Justices to retain private security.

For all the complaints directed at Mitch McConnell, it is well to remember that he and he alone, in a daring gamble, managed to keep this traitorous, spineless worm, Dreck Garland, off the Supreme Court.
Watching this hack AG politicize the Department of Justice like Flying Monkeys of the Democratic Party nauseates me.

These protesters falsely say, "every unwanted conception must be forced to become another human being."
Yet Utah is the most restrictive state in the union as to abortion, thus only 0.3% of the US's abortions are performed in Utah.
So, the laws on the books now will change IF Roe V Wade is overturned.
Utah has a "trigger law" ready if that happens.
Many abortions can still happen under Utah's trigger law IF Roe V Wade is blown away:
Utah’s “trigger” law would outlaw abortions in all cases except for pregnancies that came about because of rape or incest, if the life of the mother is at risk or if two doctors practicing “maternal fetal medicine” found lethal birth defects.
The big loophole is the "life of the mother is at risk."
Women can cause a doctor to say that just by having hysterics.

How about rounding up all the pond scum in the streets and hauling them off to January 6th Jailcells THEN go after whomever is paying these "hire-a-protesters" in the first place? Rumor has it that Ruth's Truthers are paid for by George Soros, our "Nazi gift" that keeps on giving.

What took him so long?????
This decision needs to be publicly announced with Chief Justice voting with Justice Alito and get this open secret settled.
The Court is under attack as is the system being politicized and weaponized. The Department of Justice and its administration by corrupt bureaucrats has created distrust among the public when the corrupt are protected while others are not given protection from intimidation being called "peaceful protests" like BLM burning Seattle and Portland two summers ago with little to no repercussions.

We already have a law on the books that states protesting in front of a Justice’s home is illegal. Why not just enforce that? Also, anything Garland says will be ignored just like the laws under this illegitimate administration are ignored. Who does he think he is kidding? We all know democrats agree with what is happening. They have been calling for it! Democrats are a ghoulish, nasty, anti-baby, lawless cabal of communists. They must have the right to kill babies. It is a sacrament of their religion.

I guess our esteemed AG took the time out of his busy schedule dealing with real terrorist like parents who don't want CRT taught in schools or having their kindergarten aged kids being taught transgenderism. Remember the response time on that from him. This moron and the moron he works for don't really care about the safety of that other moron Roberts or good men like Alito and Thomas. They care about their agenda. So I agree with #5. The Conservative Justices should hire personal security because the left is nuts.

Here in VA, Gov Youngkin has tried to stop these protests but the Commonwealth Attorney for Fairfax County (Soros funded) which is the county in which the three justices live has refused to indict/arrest anyone for misdemeanor charges which includes this protesting. The Governor even contacted the Fairfax County Government and they said - basically - shove off. But the real weight to stop these protests is at the federal level - you know - January 6th and all, but ....

About time...the justices and their families have been abused by this mob of goons for many days...and FINALLY...garland speaks out...wonder if the democrats forced any intimidation of the justices so far....perhaps that's why garland steps up now...they got what the wanted and one justice changed his vote...but it will always remain the decision written on the draft that counts...

And the amazing double standard continues! And don't wake up The Turtle ... he's busy sending billions to the Ukraine to help fight Europe's war.
Basically just words as nothing substantive will get done. A pointless & stupid response made to stop the Right from stating, quite accurately, that Garlic-land was doing nothing.

Where the heck is the AG? Hiding under his bed? Waiting for Obama, his real boss to tell him what to do? Apparently, the conservative firestorm raged against Biden/Obama's Govt. for lack of the Supremes protection hit the point where they had to something....words....just passing the buck to the U.S. Marshals.

What if this was never about Roe? What if it was the setup to eliminate a conservative justice or two? Murdered by an angry "protester"? They murdered Scalia, they stole the presidency, they shilled for big pharma's bogus vaccines. They turned the pandemic into a circus of disinformation, misinformation and malinformation. There's nothing they won't do to remain in power, the Democrat party is a huge criminal organization with many Republican affiliates.

it's apparent that only through pushing and prodding do any of diapers underlings ever do the right thing, garland would never have done this if the repubs in the capital and some media didn't put the pressure on him we talk about "dereliction of duty" when we talk about diapers but the whole crowd is guilty of that
- imagine what this flunky would have been like if he were on the Supreme Court?

It took him long enough! Arrests of the people who publicized the justice’s addresses and the mob should have been made the first day. I hope none of the justices caves to this intimidation.

Presumably they aren’t dumb enough to trust this administration and the deep state to protect them.
Given the capital police murdered an unarmed young lady, I’d just as soon bugger off to a location unknown.

Garland is useless. He needs to have justice protesters arrested or he, himself, should resign.

Should not have been allowed...lack of concern for the Justices. Garland should have had a dozen school buses lined up to take these parasites to jail. No time should have gone by while these creeps harassed the Justices and THEIR neighbors.

About time. Was he waiting for something awful to happen to one of the conservative Justices? Or maybe Roberts had a conversation with him, short and to the point. There was no need for the delay, none whatsoever.
