On January 6, 2021, several members of the Oath Keepers marched up the US Capitol steps, stood in a line, and sang the National Anthem with the tens of thousands of patriots outside the building.Several members of the Oath Keepers, who were in Washington DC only to provide protection to speakers at the several organized protests that week, walked into the US Capitol. They were seen taking pictures inside the building. Now the Biden Department of Justice, under the direction of Matthew Graves, the US Attorney for the District of Columbia, are threatening those same men with life in prison.

This issue will be a priority for our next President and if Republicans win as expected none of these convictions will stand.

Seems like they are taunting people to do a prison break to justify their investigation. Why else would they keep delaying trials and upping charges weekly. Maybe they are losing the court of public opinion battle and trying to stay relevant to support the illegal Liz Cheney J6 court. She needs to be told if she is convicted of a conspiracy on this illegal panel she will do jail time!

Mathew Graves should watch "2000 Mules" if he wants to see what a REAL seditious conspiracy looks like.

Those behind this travesty of justice deserve to be hanged and all of the silent republicans deserve lifelong shame and condemnation.

I would like to believe you are correct #1 However the current GOP leadership has failed to show any interest in the imprisoned Jan 6th participants. The Bolsheviks are running this country via the Elites and Deep State. This is not the America most people still believe it is.

All right, now the next Republican president MUST direct his AG to go after the persecutors with the full force of the law, for constitutional and civil rights violations by every party involved in this travesty. And prison for them.

I would expect there will be a Mass Pardon given to them right after the Swearing in of our new Republican President!

what is the problem with " ... Walking Inside US Capitol and Taking Pictures" they only thought it was visitors day, you know like visiting day at the local state penitentiary, no big deal but, in reality and using common sense, they should have stayed as far away from that place as the Europeans did during the Great Plague in the mid 1700's

This type of relentless government overreach is what frustrates people enough to make them want to storm the Capitol! But our elites don't seem to understand that or care.

Don't be too sure about the mass pardon. These people should never have been in jail and I have yet to hear anything from the republicans. It'll go something like this - if you vote us in, we'll let J6 political prisoners free. Just like they said they would recall Obamacare. This is a very bad on America. These people are innocent - how many BLM are in jail for murdering people, burning down people's businesses during their riots - I could go on. I don't think anyone has been jailed for that.

I’m so ashamed of our supposedly conservative or republican representaves who, for unknown reason, have failed to support the folks being persecuted for visiting Washington D.C. on January 6. Cowardly punks for the most past.

Justice? Why must it depend on which political party is in charge? Isn't it supposed to be blind and equal? What sentencing guidelines stipulate life in prison for trespassing?

This is only a little different from the "Whitmer Kidnap Plot' whereby government agents planned a fake operation and tried to get some weak minded individuals to go along with it.
The only real difference is that Kidnapping a governor is an obviously illegal act, whereas walking through the Capitol building, public property, partially paid for by those protestors is not illegal in and of itself. (Although stealing elections, which they thought they were protesting, IS illegal... well, it used to be anyway.)
I am ashamed of our entire national political system and the agencies and bureaucracies that support it, for allowing this travesty. this miscarriage of justice.. I'm even a little ashamed of myself for not doing everything within my power to get these people released from their unconstitutional durance vile.

I'm beginning to think that the so-called Department of Justice and the lower-court federal judiciary in D.C. should be run through a meat grinder.

It will soon be 2 years in prison without a trial or conviction. The judge don't have an issue with that?

This is Soviet Union/East Germany/Cuba type repression of the perceived opposition to the regime. Trumped up charges, malicious prosecutions, grossly excessive punishment, and no options for legal recourse. If there ever is a real insurrection, there will be a lot of Democrats hanging from lamp posts.

What this tells me is that the democrats KNOW beyond reasonable doubt they will be winning the election in 2022 and for ever more. They are NOT worried that the pubbies will win and put them all behind bars.
