A Manhattan man who was beaten by a mob of dirt bikers—along with his father—said Thursday that the wild, caught-on-video brawl was sparked by a mere “accident.” The 35-year-old man told The Post he now worries about his 64-year-old father, who suffered a concussion and is struggling after the disturbing broad-daylight assault Tuesday in Harlem. “I’m OK, I’m just really concerned about him, concerned about my father,” he said. “I want them to find them, and justice. “Because it was an accident, all right? What was the point of assaulting an elderly guy? Like 10 people. Anybody’s a man with 10 people.”

Federal prosecutors targeting Steve Bannon for contempt of Congress admitted Wednesday that they did not seek higher approval within the Justice Department before spying on Steve Bannon's lawyer. A federal judge on Wednesday ordered the Justice Department to produce internal records related to their decision to prosecute Bannon, a win for the former Trump adviser. U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols seemed disturbed by the unusual move, repeatedly asking prosecutors why they thought it was proper to secretly gather records of defense attorney Robert Costello's private phone calls, text messages, and emails. Nichols also said that Bannon's team should be offered Justice Department 'statements or writings' that justify

President Joe Biden called Vladimir Putin a 'murderous dictator and pure thug' in his St Patrick's Day speech on Thursday that started with the quip: 'I may be Irish but I am not stupid'. Biden ramped up his attacks on the Russian leader, a day after finally calling him a war criminal, in remarks that started with him going through his Irish heritage at the annual Friends of Ireland Luncheon. 'Father before I began, bless me, father I'm about to sin,' Biden cracked, making the sign of the cross as he addressed Rev. Thomas O'Connor while standing between Irish and American flags inside the wood paneled Rayburn Room

The federal government paid out at least $163 billion in bogus pandemic unemployment benefits, and less than 1% of that bad money has actually been recovered, an inspector general told Congress on Thursday. Labor Department Inspector General Larry D. Turner said the states that doled out the federal money weren’t prepared for the massive infusion of cash in their unemployment systems and were using outdated systems easily exploited by fraudsters. The result is that of $872.5 billion in federal unemployment money spent, at least $163 billion—or 18.71%—of that were improper payments. The inspector general said just $830 million has been recovered two years into the pandemic, which works out

A California father's harrowing final moments have emerged in harrowing police footage showing him scream 'I can't breathe' while dying as he was held face-down on the ground so cops could extract a blood sample. Edward Bronstein, 38, died on March 31, 2020, less than two months before George Floyd was killed by police in Minnesota, after an altercation during his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was pulled over for a DUI, but taken to a police station after refusing to give a blood sample, which his family says was due to a fear of needles.(Snip)Five officers can be seen kneeling on him

Alabama, in a sudden reversal, will allow an Oneonta man to keep his personalized license plate that slams President Joe Biden. The state even apologized for its original effort to take back the plate.
Nathan Kirk, owner of Blount County Tactical gun store, personalized his license plate with the acronym LGBFJB, a reference to the political chant “Let’s go Brandon” followed by a vulgar insult of Biden. To make the message even clearer, Kirk told Al.com that he added a “don’t tread on me” plate cover which has the words “Let’s go Brandon” on it. “I see it as a goofy tag,” Kirk told AL.com on Tuesday, “But the meaning

Disney workers are planning walkouts during their breaks every day this week to protest CEO Bob Chapek's 'slow response' in publicly criticizing Florida legislation that critics have dubbed the 'Don't Say Gay' bill. The act of protest will culminate next Tuesday with a larger walkout by LGBTQ workers and their supporters at Disney worksites in California, Florida and elsewhere, the group of Disney employees said this week on their website. Organizers asked Disney workers to respond online whether or not they were planning to participate in the full-scale walkout next week.(Snip)Statements by Disney leadership over the Florida legislation 'have utterly failed to match the magnitude of the threat

President Biden called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal” on Wednesday, marking a shift in the administration’s rhetoric over the war in Ukraine. “He is a war criminal,” Mr. Biden said of Mr. Putin in response to a reporter’s question as he left an event at the White House. Mr. Biden had previously condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine but has stopped short of saying whether Moscow had committed war crimes in the conflict. When asked about the escalation in rhetoric, White House press secretary Jen Psaki simply said Mr. Biden was answering a direct question. “We’ve all seen barbaric acts, horrific acts by a foreign dictator in a country

About 400 used bulletproof vests that were supposed to be donated to Ukraine were stolen sometime overnight from a nonprofit organization in Manhattan, police said Wednesday. The vests were being stored at 203 Second Ave. near 12th Street in the East Village and were slated to be sent to the country that has been under siege by Russian forces since Feb. 24. Somebody called 911 after discovering the heist at 9:19 a.m., police said. When cops arrived, they found someone had forced their way into the building, police said. The vests were being stored in a hallway and were “visible to the public,” a police source said.

Clown America boasts a department named Homeland Security, whose mission is to render the US homeland unrecognizable through mass in-migration of foreigners who have no cultural ties to Legacy Americans, and to make us less secure both in terms of crime and potential terrorist attacks, and fiscally, since each refugee costs us about $133,000 over the course of their lifetime.
