Sen. Mitt Romney takes swipe at Obama,
Trump in condemning Russia’s invasion
of Ukraine

Original Article

Sen. Mitt Romney condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in a statement late Wednesday that also took a shot at both of America’s last two presidents, including a famed line thrown at him by Barack Obama. The Utah Republican blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine on a decade and more of U.S. weakness, also alluding to former President Donald Trump’s foreign-policy slogan. “Putin’s impunity predictably follows our tepid response to his previous horrors in Georgia and Crimea, our naive efforts at a one-sided ‘reset’ and the shortsightedness of ‘America First,’” he said. Mr. Romney once was ridiculed by Mr. Obama, when the two men faced off

Comments:

Not one bad word against Pal Joey, who the Romney Republicans helped place in office.

Thankfully this man did not become president. Saying "without justification, without provocation, and without honor." shows how out of touch with reality the war machine is. Justification: Ukraine and the West let the Minsk Accords wither on the vine for over 8 years. Hubris ruled the day and NATO and the US decided that ignoring Russia's security concerns would have no consequence. Provocation: Continuously expanding NATO eastward and placing weapons on the doorstep of Russia. Honor: Russia has actually gone in to protect the people of Donetsk and Lugansk (Donbass) from shelling conducted by Ukraine. We do not belong in the Ukraine and Ukraine is NOT a Democracy; however, our fearless leaders will tighten the screws only on the people of Europe and America with higher gas, food, commodity prices and increased inflation. Thank you democrats!!!!

I suspect we will finally be able to tell who has ties to Ukraine. IIRC, one of Romney's own senior staffers does. Since Romney loves money as much as the next politician, I suspect Romney does as well. Romney is a waffling and craven coward, but the speed with which he has jumped into this fray tells me he is involved in Ukraine up to his greasy scalp.

Just amazing how this guy can't seem to see how President Trump was set up and derided for the entire 4 year term, yet still managed to do a whole lot for the country. And, if Biden didn't lift the sanctions on Nord 2, Putin would not have been as emboldened, or that it was okay to have an incursion into Ukraine. Under President Trump the United States became energy independent, which means we didn't need the Russian and Middle East oil any longer. We also had the ability to export oil too which would add to the Treasury department coffers which might have helped pay down our national debt. Sorry Mitt, you won't be POTUS, if you think that's still an option.
