President Joe Biden could deploy up to 50,000 US troops as well as aircraft and warships to eastern Europe to counter a Russian military build-up that has sparked fears Vladimir Putin is about to invade Ukraine. The plan would see between 1,000 and 5,000 soldiers sent to NATO nations such as Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia, which border Russian territory.Troop numbers could then be increased up to 50,000 if the security situation deteriorates, backed up by fresh deployments of ships and aircraft. Pentagon officials presented the plan to Biden during a summit at Camp David

Who, really, is in charge at the White House? It sure doesn’t look to be President Joe Biden. The latest evidence came last week when Chief of Staff Ron Klain delivered a behind-the-scenes message to Democratic allies and staff, just hours after Biden’s disastrous news conference: The prez had failed to mention that his next Build Back Better bill would fund child and elder care, but Klain insisted it would. As Axios reported, “Klain’s private comments are yet another indication the White House has a core set of priorities it plans to fight for” . . . even if the president doesn’t know about it fully yet. President Biden was caught on a hot mic Monday appearing to call Fox News reporter Peter Doocy a "stupid son of a b****" in response to a question asked at the start of a White House event on lowering the prices on consumer goods. As the meeting at the White House wrapped up, a reporter asked the president for an update on a call held earlier in the day on the situation in Ukraine. Biden seemed impatient that the question had veered off the topic of the meeting. “The only reason I don’t like doing this is that you never

A Missouri university is hosting an online forum that will explore whether the term 'professionalism' is racist—and according to the event's synopsis, it is. The February 1 presentation at Washington University's St. Louis campus centers around a term defined by Merriam-Webster as 'the conduct, aims, or qualities that characterize or mark a profession or a professional person.'
An explainer for the upcoming virtual event reads: 'The term “professionalism” has at times been used to silence and marginalize people of color, when attributes of appearance, language or interactions that have nothing to do with job knowledge or constructive collegial relationships are labeled as “unprofessional”. 'In this context, so-called professionalism

A self-proclaimed mask “Karen” went berserk in a Walmart when she spotted a couple who was shopping without their faces covered.
After making initial contact and being largely ignored, the unhinged, overweight woman stalked the unmasked pair around the store as they shopped, while attempting to get others to join in on her meltdown.
“These people are not wearing masks, isn’t that rude?!” she exclaimed desperately while clapping and yelling about Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and of course Steven Colbert.
Thankfully she was unsuccessful in finding any others. In fact, one woman, who was also wearing her mask, interjected and called the masked crusader out for being rude herself.

President Joe Biden apologized after calling Fox News reporter Peter Doocy a "stupid son of a b****" on a hot microphone during a meeting about inflation. (snip) Biden later called Doocy to apologize for the remark, according to CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins. Doocy later told Fox News host Sean Hannity that Biden called to tell him, "It's nothing personal, pal." The remarks were also included in the White House's official transcript of the meeting. The White House did not respond to an inquiry about whether or not Biden knew the microphone was still on when he made the comment.

When White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stepped into the briefing room for the first time last year, it was seen as a return to a functional relationship between the administration and the press corps. Gone were the days of briefings simply never happening, of insulting journalists and exposing them to Covid-19.
You never know what the day’s going to look like when you wake up. Typically, I have meetings and calls from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The first is with my team. We talk about the news of the day. We have some laughs.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has finally acknowledged a point that COVID dissenters have been making since at least the creation of the first coronavirus vaccine: Natural immunity counts.
A study published by the Biden CDC on Monday found that “persons with vaccine- and infection-derived immunity,” the latter of which is the agency’s term for natural immunity, “had much lower rates of hospitalization compared with those in unvaccinated persons” during the study period.
Conducted in New York and California between May and November of 2021, the study also found that natural immunity offered even “greater” protection “after the highly transmissible Delta variant became predominant,

Nearly 64,000 U.S. troops are at the ready in Europe to deploy to the continent's eastern flank if President Biden makes such a call to counter growing Russian aggression at the border with Ukraine. As Vladimir Putin has deployed 100,000 Russian forces to the Ukraine border and continues to stoke fears he will invade, the U.S. may have to ready its troops and its cache of arms situated throughout Europe, including 40 warships, 175 aircraft and 90 tanks. Military officials presented the commander-in-chief with a plan to deploy up to 50,000 troops if the security situation deteriorates and Russia launches an invasion

An anonymous University of Pennsylvania swimmer has slammed transgender teammate Lia Thomas as she continued to dominate in the pool in a meet against Harvard this weekend, saying that she was 'not even close to being competitive' when competing as a man.
The swimmer, who chose to remain anonymous, spoke to the Washington Examiner about the advantages Thomas, 22, has gained through her transition, especially after the USA Swimming team announced it will allow 'non-elite' athletes to compete in a way that is 'consistent with their gender identity.'
On Thursday, USA Swimming said that it will release a new policy 'shortly' on whether elite trans athletes,

A House candidate endorsed by former President Donald Trump handily defeated Rep. Liz Cheney in a Republican Party straw poll in Wyoming, according to a report.
Harriet Hageman, whom Trump endorsed in September to challenge Cheney in the Republican primary, won the straw poll conducted by the Wyoming Republican State Central Committee with 59 votes, the Casper Star-Tribune reported on Saturday. Cheney came in a distant second with six votes. The incumbent drew Trump’s ire when she voted — along with nine other Republicans — to impeach the former president on Jan. 13
