Twelve years ago this week, Massachusetts shocked the world as the liberal state elected a Republican Senator, ending then-President Barack Obama’s brief 60 vote majority. The media did not react well to the GOP win, railing about how it was “premeditated murder” and an affront to the cause of the sacred Ted Kennedy. And that was only one Senate win. Imagine how the networks, CNN and MSNBC might react to a 2022 midterm red wave? It was January 19, 2010 that Scott Brown won. That evening, Chris Matthews ranted at just how bad it would be for a Republican to prevail Speaking about the impact on ObamaCare,

Devin Nunes said Sunday that in a 'normal world' hundreds of people would be probing the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop, an issue close to the former top GOP member of the House Intelligence Committee.During an interview with Fox's Sunday Morning Futures host Maria Bartiromo, Nunes lamented over social media sites banning and suppressing the spread of the New York Post story revealing the incriminating contents of the laptop belonging to President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden. The story was published just one month before the 2020 presidential election.

In a recent year, only 69 girls born in America were named "Prudence." That's a shame, because Prudence is not only a lovely name, but also an important virtue — one that we ought frequently to be reminded of.For conservatives in particular, prudence is a key virtue. The very nature of conservatism centers on conserving and preserving. A conservative is prudent by nature since he wishes to preserve his moral and cultural inheritance and, indeed, to preserve life itself. A conservative cares about life in a way that liberals do not: rather than experimenting with untested and self-serving theories, he is mostly guided by what he has learned from the past

Joe Biden is reportedly considering sending some three to five thousand troops to Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia as part of an effort to protect NATO states near Russia, to ward off Russia, given their aggressive actions toward Ukraine. Other NATO countries might also be kicking in troops under this plan, according to Fox News. This Biden military move might not only include troops; they’re also considering naval vessels and aircraft. This follows a report from the U.K. that Russia was plotting to try to install a pro-Kremlin government in Ukraine and boot out the pro-West Volodymyr Zelensky. Russia is denying this report and blaming the U.K. for spreading it.

COLUMBIA, S.C—Joe Biden’s run for the Democratic presidential nomination was all but declared dead as he headed to the South Carolina primary in late February 2020. He had finished fifth in New Hampshire and fourth in Iowa. Still, Biden advised skeptics to withhold judgment until a state with a large pool of Black voters, the most reliable Democratic constituency, had a chance to weigh in. “Too often your loyalty, your commitment, your support for this party has been taken for granted,” he said. “I give you my word as a Biden that I never, ever, ever will.” Black voters delivered, recasting the Democratic contest and sending Biden on his way

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said it's possible Kremlin officials are just 'going through the motions' of diplomacy on Sunday after a week of intense international talks aimed at de-escalating Russian aggression on Ukraine's border. Even after meeting with his Russian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in Geneva on Friday, Blinken admitted on NBC's Meet The Press that Moscow could still invade the smaller former Soviet state despite the efforts of Western governments. The US's chief diplomat also would not rule out possible American military involvement in the worsening conflict,

President Joe Biden's New Year's resolution to focus on the 2022 midterm elections will not be universally welcomed by Democratic candidates as the party tries to buck history and hold on to congressional power.Biden, who prides himself on being a skilled, empathetic campaigner, will be "a liability" for Democrats this midterm cycle, according to political commentator Darrell West. “His poll numbers have dropped, and his base is dispirited because of his inability to pass Build Back Better and voting reforms,” West told the Washington Examiner of Biden. “Republicans are virtually united against him.”

Thousands gathered in Washington D.C. - a city that mandates vaccines - to protest vaccine mandates, with protesters blaring ballads by Meat Loaf, a musician who is feared to have succumbed to COVID-19 complications at 74 after vocal hesitation about the jab. Robert F. Kennedy and Informed Consent Action Network founder Del Bigtree were among big names who addressed the rally Sunday morning. Around 20,000 people were expected to attend the demonstration. 'Americans want democracy back, and this rally is a demand by Americans to get their democracy back,' Kennedy said of the rally, according to WUSA9.

NBC News has released its latest poll, showing who the most unpopular major political figure in the country is. But it also gives us a good indication of where things are headed as the November mid-term election draws closer. Here are some of the topline results. (Tweet) Starting with who took the top prize, that would be (drum roll, please) Kamala Harris. Yes, Black Hillary, as my colleague Jeff Charles likes to refer to her, has only a 29 percent favorable rating with a -17 favorable/unfavorable differential. But perhaps that comparison is unfair because I’m not sure Hillary Clinton was ever this bad at politics. Harris has truly set the bar

The Economist pointed to the growing diversity of gun owners in America and noted that it is “bad for gun-control advocates.”According to The Economist, a study by of Northeastern University shows that of the millions of first time buyers between January 2019 and April 2021, “half were female, a fifth black and a fifth Hispanic.”Moreover, The Economist noted that “the share of black adults who joined the gun-owning ranks, 5.3%, was more than twice that of white adults.”The demographics are a marked shift from 2015, when first time gun buyers “skewed white and male.”

A University of Washington language guide is calling everyday words used by Americans “problematic.”The University of Washington Information Technology department released an “inclusive language guide” that lists a number of “problematic words” that are “racist,” “sexist,” “ageist,” or “homophobic.”According to the guide, words such as “grandfather,” “housekeeping,” “minority,” “ninja,” and “lame” are considered “problematic words.” For example, the language guide states that the word “lame” is considered problematic because it’s “ableist.”
