I received an interesting email from UCLA Health. It contained an article exploring the possibility that the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 may mark the end of the pandemic phase of the disease in the beginning of what is called an endemic phase.

The current occupant of the Oval Office has proven to be just as clueless as anyone with a functional brain knew he was before he wasn’t elected. It was obvious from jump street that Joe Biden was purely a puppet for the elite who needed Donald Trump out of their way, but a year in we find that calling Clueless Joe a puppet is an insult to Howdy Doody, Charlie McCarthy, Kermit the Frog, and Jeff Dunham’s entire cast of characters. He placed the video on Twitter and YouTube. Given how the song excoriates the Biden Administration for its utterly incompetent handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal, one expected pushback. On Friday, the expectation was met when YouTube briefly pulled the video, returning it to the site only after Ondrasik made a pointed complaint to YouTube.
I did not tune in for a nanosecond to the predictably boring, empty, wrong, and hyperventilating media coverage of the first anniversary of January 6th. For one, I have an actual job and a family. That darn real life gets in the way again. For another, I could have written every article and broadcast speech because we all know the talking points. Trump is bad, Trump is dangerous, Trump supporters are dangerous, and everything related to Trump is a threat to democracy. Did I miss anything?

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of racism for remarks he made about black Americans voting at just as high a percentage as 'Americans' after their voting rights package failed to make it through the Senate.
