A modern-day slavery ring has been busted in Georgia where workers were raped, kidnapped and imprisoned in squalid camps, according to prosecutors. The crooks raked in more than $200 million by luring in over 100 desperate migrants from Mexico and Central America to the US, a federal indictment says. At least two people died in the brutal conditions that saw workers forced to handpick onions at gunpoint for just 20 cents per bucket in sweltering heat, and another was repeatedly kidnapped and raped. They were kept in squalid camps surrounded by electric fences or cramped living quarters, including dirty trailers with raw sewage leaks.

Wow, amazing!! Who could imagine with millions of illegal immigrants entering the country that there might be other illegal activity such as slavery going on. Our politicians are beyond idiotic. The bubble they live in is completely opaque.

Why am I not believing - - that each of the 100 slaves picked $2,000,000 worth of onions?
As the old saying goes - - "That's a lot of onions."
There may be a kernel of truth in this story - - but it's not in the onions.

200 Law enforcement "professionals" from multiple states, Federal and Local agencies took 2 years to find 100 "Exploited" wiling workers, 1000miles from the border(where hundreds per day are crossing and being allowed to remain)...who will now be granted a "Stay and Play" visa that keeps them from being deported. At an undercover program cost of Millions of Dollars.

Who owns that farm in Georgia? Did he pay these people directly or did he go through the slave master? If the latter, they need to catch that guy and give him some Southern justice. If it was the farmer he needs to be dealt with severely and take away his farm and sell it at auction to pay to repatriate these workers to their home countries.

I am only buying onions with the label "picked by a white young man (or woman) saving up to put himself or herself through college." That's the way it used to be. Democrats are in for a rude surprise also. Hispanics aren't knee jerk democrats.

Not sure I buy this story.
Twenty cents for bucket.....gets up to $200 million bucks. OK that is 1 billion buckets of onions.
If they picked 100 buckets each per day for 365 days per year, that is 36,500 buckets....or $7300 PER YEAR per person. To get to $200 million in 2 years would be $100 million per year....at $7300 per person that is 1,369 workers workers doing a full bucket every 6 minutes, for 10 hrs a day, no breaks, 365 days a year. for two years.....at 20 cents a bucket. I don't buy it.
Nope. This is baloney, somewhere their numbers a bull. Makes me think the whole story is bull.

The entire premise of this story is to push lefty Democrat immigration policy. We have to protect them and give them rights or evil whitey will turn them in to slaves.

Bingo, #11. The whole reason for bringing millions of illegals to this country is to ensure that they will be mistreated. This will allow the Democrats aka Communists aka gangsters to punish the rest of us for their suffering and we’ll then be forced to pay reparations. The bonus will be the inevitable civil war which weakens the country for foreign invasion.

Hold on one minute, mister. Just think of the enhanced profits that were made this way. And those profits benefit one and all once the money is poured back into the economy.
