Berlin — Germany’s center-left Social Democrats won the biggest share of the vote in a national election Sunday, narrowly beating outgoing Chancellor Angela Merkel ’s center-right Union bloc in a closely fought race that will determine who succeeds the long-time leader at the helm of Europe’s biggest economy.
The Social Democrats’ candidate Olaf Scholz, the outgoing vice chancellor and finance minister who pulled his party out of a years-long slump, said the outcome was “a very clear mandate to ensure now that we put together a good, pragmatic government for Germany.”

To the Euros - - "center-left" means halfway between Mao and Pol Pot.
These people are crazed, delusional leftists - - and they deserve everything bad which happens to them.

#2, AfD got about 10%, just one point behind the Free Democrats and twice as much as The Left. Thing is, no matter what happens, AfD will not be part of any coalition. None of the major parties will get anywhere near them.

Why does the far far left always call a narrow victory a mandate? It is a narrow victory, not a landslide. Narrow victory means a lot of people still didn't want you or your policies.

"We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics," Biden said in the video.
Did quid pro joes fraud organization get exported to them?

I think it is a large stretch of the truth to describe Merkel and party as "center right". I guess the Germans don't understand the concept of freedom.

After our recent experience, why would we assume any election results represent what the voters wanted?
What you can be sure of, is that this is the choice of their deep state that controls their election equipment.

German society is far from the conservative mass portrayed. The days of monocles, dueling scars and the Kaiser are far behind them. This generation only knows prosperity, the European Union not the Russian front. The Wall is gone. This is hardly a change.

Germany is lost...thanks to merkel's years of messing with their society...the new world order crowd was hoping for another Angela to rob their best paying European Union bunch...germany has been holding up the other member countries for years with necessary funds....I'll give this to germans...they are smart and innovative ....a watch designed by Germany is worth 100 from china...that's why china has to steal products from other countries...the chi/coms have beaten the drive to succeed out of their people...

I have never understood why Angela Merkel is always described as being politically on the right.
She received her college degree from Karl Marx University. ( Look it up )

Merkel was never, ever center right. Putin's handmaiden was never elected with her supposed own party but she was by including several coalitions or she would have never made it in the first place. She pretended to be right wing, never was. Putin's handmaiden took her orders from Russia.

Merkel's party lost support from the old East Germany regions. Some in that area still support the AfD but since the other political parties ignore the AfD the voters have little from which to choose.
